  • Abh Mod v0.6.3 for Cosmoteer v0.14.7, 0.14.7a and 0.14.7b

This is the adapted 0.6.2 version for Cosmoteer 0.14.7 and 0.14.7A with minor updates and more or less full stats information.

Known conflicts:

  • Mods adding buffs to vanilla sensor array e.g. Galactic Civil War mod; only one mod will apply. Note: This is not a crashing issue! It's about how the buffs have been added in code and about mod loading order. Noob coded add action will override each other and the last one prevails. Advanced modders can avoid override conflicts by using the appropriate AddMany action. Abh uses AddMany.

Known issue:

  • The crew won't load the Torpedo launchers. Some unknown changes in 0.14.7 an 0.14.8RC3 broke this.

  • Antiproton cannon 2 crashes when using pulse mode. Also some unknown changes in 0.14.7 an 0.14.8RC3 broke this.

(Temporary) Changes

  • Torpedo effects (beams) have been temporary downgraded (removed) due to the lifetime bug in 0.14.7. They will be back in later Cosmoteer versions.

  • Some changes have been made to accommodate the new Stats information feature and might be removed or changed later on. This is purely a balance or technology lore issue that hasn't been addressed in this short time.

If you got a weak/old computer or have a low amount of RAM use this to replace the standard "mod.txt". This should allow you to load and play with Abh.

Lafiel changed the title to Abh Mod v0.6.3 for Cosmoteer v0.14.7, 0.14.7a and 0.14.7b.

    Updated the compatibility text for new player's convenience and removed the tech level 2 restrictions on the construction_repair_station. At the time I thought it would be too "easy" to have it accessible for all but I think that was perhaps unreasonable.

    It can construct two 60x60 sized ships.

    I've found a leftover debug component I forgot to remove which leads to a crash because the related toggle no longer exists. Also fixed at a typo in en.txt. Updated.

        LeftHandofGod No. You have to use Abh 0.6.2 for 0.14.6. There are only minor changes.
        If you meant the ships then yes. You may have to load into blueprint mode if normal loading fails.

          Minor update for the disruptor PD. Like all pd it's been updated with the dual fire mode which for some reason doesn't always work well with some weapons or in some situations. So keep an eye out for if a pd weapon seems to be off too often then it should.

          Lafiel when i use your mod and krooms decal it crashes

            Bevan That's due to the game's decal limit.
            Either use only one mod or delete decals that are the same but otherwise differently orientated.

            Lafiel your download for 0.14.7 and 0.14.7a doesn't work for some reason

                Fixed some bugs that got in in recent changes but escaped me. So many version changes in a row is really bad. Parts that worked a day before could break and you wouldn't know thinking they were still fine.

                  Photon torpedoes don't work. Workers refuse to load the torpedoes into the launcher. Actually, they refuse to remove torpedoes from the replicator in general. I can't even get them to store torpedoes in the torpedo bay.

                    neomulemi6 Just in case have you checked if they are set to the same type of torpedoes? Might as well post your ship so I can check it, too.

                      neomulemi6 That's not a ship file so I can't check. Since there are different launchers depending on tech level make sure the launcher is set to the same type of torpedoes.

                        neomulemi6 Confirmed. Thanks. For some reason the crew doesn't supply them in 0.14.7 and 0.14.8. At this point I don't know what's wrong. Loading a savegame file from 0.14.6 worked fine. And I haven't changed anything for 0.14.7 other than adding the stats. So some kind of game mechanic parameters must have been changed that worked before but now is broken. I'll have to look deeper but I'll probably have to forward it to Walt.

                          Also the game's crashing every time the "Antiproton Cannon2" attempts to fire. Here's the error:

                            neomulemi6 Confirmed. Thanks a lot. It's only the pulse mode part. Since the "Antiproton Cannon" and "Antiproton Cannon2" are practically the same except one has a charge storage. I've made small changes to make them more the same to check and it still crashes. All other differences are just graphics and said storage. So at this point I can only presume it's a game bug of some kind.
