This is another out planning early release as Cosmoteer 0.14.7 is coming and breaking mods again.
As such it's not completed as planned and does not include all parts intended. These are moved to the next version. It's complete as released but may have undiscovered or old bugs or not updated parts.
There are some known Cosmoteer bugs:

  • some parts with the new storage counting features don't display the content correctly for undetermined reasons
  • AFAIK buff and swapping bugs from 0.14.4 are still in 0.14.6 but may only effect supply corridors when being destroyed. See previous release notes.

If you got a weak/old computer or have a low amount of RAM use this to replace the standard "mod.txt". This should allow you to load and play with Abh.

In this version there are a number of changes and new things.

Changes:

  • The fleet ballistic missile silo and escalayer missile silo are now one part and you can select which one to fire
  • the antimatter, water, ammo, small rounds storages also have been merged into one storage
  • the missile bay is also a merged storage but for missiles
  • flare and chaff dispenser have been merged into the counter measure dispenser 1
  • updated defensive beam weapons now properly works as PD and no longer rely on work arounds
  • all phaser arrays are now dual Pd and normal weapons. They now have power level settings but not all can be used depending on how much their storage can hold. The majority max out around level 10 which happens to be about 10x. Many have different firing rates which may be select able and are meant to offer better results for anti-ship or as PD
  • (photon) torpedo weapons, aside from different burst modes, now have different firing patterns, select able power levels. More mode may be added later
  • the mobile mines can now be deployed as a mine field. To do this select defensive mode. The Abh mobile mine now has an escort mode. It will escort the ship and engage enemy in range.
  • The hangar now has a mooring part to dock or anchor other ships and should allow them to warp along similar to Kroom's mod. Optionally, now hangar parts can have roofs if you do not wish to use opening roofs
  • shields can be toggled to be invisible except the starbase gate part

New:

  • The new countermeasure_dispenser2 is the roof turret version of the first and offers additionally depth charges as PD defense or anti-ship weapon.
  • The new drone launch tube can launch an escort drone or repair drone or different types of supply drone. These will supply allied ships with the selected type of supplies
  • the micro torpedo launcher offers torpedoes for fighters, it can also fire photon missiles
  • gluon cannon turret, still an early version as the features aren't exactly as expected; the new sprite animation fails to scale it
  • The new mine_dispenser2 will launch a self-replicating and cloaking mine with all the features of a mine.
  • an aesthetic med_abh_custom_bridge
  • The new compound bridge system allows any size or bridge design to be build; to prevent cheating it requires a commander's chair. Only tech levels Tech1 Group1-3 are supported
  • The new repair_beam_station01 can repair ships. To do this turn on autofire
  • The new construction repair station can repair ships and it can construct ships. To do this the ship to be constructed must be in its operation area. You must choose the size of the shipyard area it covers; then extend the structure for building. Only then can you engage repair or construction. Retracting will automatically shut down repair or construction. Note the operation is costly so turn it off when not in use. Note: construction does not support armor or structure parts as they aren't necessarily things created by a shipyard. Shipyards can be build anywhere from sizes of 20 to 300 tiles wide. Note: only vanilla parts are supported for ship construction. After completion of construction of the new ship you must hire a crew for it.

Phaser parts now have proper pd mode with the new vanilla feature.

    I've found a copy paste error I forgot to adjust which could cause a crash. I also threw in an upgrade bonus . Re-uploaded. That should be all I think. Moving on to adapt the mod for 0.14.7.
