Aboard the "Abiding Terror..."
A sharp-looking young man, unlike the much older Elgin, calmly stands by the bright red holomap in the war room, reading the battle's statistics without making a sound. His uniform is similar to the one seen on the late Commander; a dark gray naval coat with a burgundy colored silk satin interior, several shiny golden buttons popping out on the less bright outfit. The coat is adorned with numerous pins, including a blood-red star with two white wings sprouting from its sides. There is no doubt that he is an admiral.
He walks up to the holomap, resting his gloved hands on the edge of the table projecting it...
"An entire legion of fighters... shredded by railgun fire. The foe appears to be putting up quite a fight."
A tactician turns to face the admiral.
"Admiral Drayan, the fighters aren't our c-"
"I know. Our main concern is the fleet we were sent to reinforce. There are good men aboard the remaining vessels out there."
"Wouldn't rushing through the two fleets risk the other two frigates?"
"Yes. It would. That's why I've devised a plan..."
The three frigates continue to shrug off attacks from allied forces, their thick defensive wedges continuing to absorb shots although the Lance missile salvo has punched several holes in their sides. Strike craft, corvettes, light cruisers, and other ships go up in flames as Eontenvian rounds zoom across the battlefield.
Without warning, the three frigates accelerate while maintaining their formation, charging the Nova Republic fleet while using their position near the allied fleet to hide from Eontenvian fire. Particle rounds from their triple-barreled main guns manage to breach the hull of a Polaris cruiser. Before the crew can act, a large bomb zooms through a hole in the ship, detonating as it hits the deck floor...
<Substantial Damage Taken, Gates Closing...>
The engines of UoL dropships roar as they zoom out of the frigate's hangar, flying through openings in the cruiser with precision. Countless are taken out by anti-fighter batteries, but some manage to make it through...
"Boarding has begun," Admiral Drayan speaks with little to no emotion. He lifts his hands off the table, backing off and leaving the room with his two guards.
(hell, this textwall took me some time to write... I could've used this effort elsewhere, but it's fine lol)
