As long as they don't get solved or something then yes, it's not a huge deal
(what I mean is the refuge faction never found out a way to deal with the Mak aside from thermal weapons, nor did they ever find out anything about the Mak themselves)

Defend = 1Going from 1-5, this is pretty much their priorities, what is probably an error in their code changed Replicate from 2 to 1, making it a first priority overriding Communicate, which is higher in the list and thus consulted first.

On a more serious note - if the Collective have to get involved, they would rather be involved at the end. Some of the Rogue Core-AI might be happy to sacrifice themselves to make the Mak a bigger threat though (Looking at you, Argus-Maelstrom, you poetic, blind bastard), but the main reason is that, knowing Prime, and knowing he isn't an unkillable divine entity (it's just extremely hard to kill him), he's going to have to wait until the Mak have sent literally every single one of their drones to this universe, THEN they manipulate the Mak in a super-weapon like move that allows the united factions to wreck Mak drones left and right. Fail to destroy them during this time and the Collective are guaranteed to be screwed, so that's why Prime will refuse to help at first.
RandomCommander That's assuming the Mak enter the Collective's universe, which is highly unlikely if there isn't enough matter to justify the trip

Considering the Mak are not affected by psionics and are logically no psionics themselves they would be most likely incapable of even entering the sixth dimension, nor could they be brought there on someone elses account as they would literally cancel themselves out.

No they'd just expand further, if they somehow ate the entire universe, they would roam the void for as long as it takes for their systems die of entropy.

RandomCommander Don´t think they can´t participate, what I pointed out was only that the "homeworld" of the Collective is not endangered of getting eaten by Mak.

Drakador_Chaos Very good point. The Mak are pretty much able to hunt down the Collective ships in this galaxy if they so choose - which they will once the Collective initiate their power-move. Omni-dimensional race capable of Hyper-Dimensional Rift intereference? Mak Public enemy no. 1, break them down at all costs. That's essentially putting the Collective's participation in the forumverse back to square one.

Reinforcements from the Icanni and Makosami initially came because of the unofficial and accidental declaration of war,but they saw a ship. Larger than the Ambassador.
