Pods:
The Hangar is a mess
a STE ship seemingly docked earlier
but is now smashing around the hangar, with the docking clamp detached.
This would be bad, but is predictable enough to avoid.
however having passed the ship the reason behind the ship's clamps detonating becomes clear.
a croud of Tau's lay dead or dying on the ground, while a few Biohazard units walk over the corpses.
shooting any that move.
the Tau's seem to be right next to the landing pad the ship was docked to, indicated by the scorch mark on the floor where it detonated.
Within a moment, one Troop notices the pods, and begins firing at it.
from the fact their helmets have no Tau-Fitting mods, they are clearly human.
and no Humans exist in the STE...
the pod of course takes little damage, and would be able to land sucessfully, albeit with resistance.
Corvette and Transport:
the pods have no antenna but flying close enough reveals they have live inhabitants.
although they are almost certainly going to die without help,
however they could spread the parasite to anything alive (for all anyone knows)
the escape pods are small enough to fit inside even small ships. (the equivilant size of a 2x2 crew quarter)
there are 12 in total, 3 are empty though, leaving 9 inhabited
Research Ship:
Scanning the ship reveals quite a bit.
It is a MK1-921 Star port
scaled down interior revealed by scans. although is unable to view personell locations
due to the high number of inteferances, there is no way of pinpointing the Scientist who sent the message's location.
Although they are likeley in the Research Wing. (left)
sadly, some kind of electronic interferance is blocking scans.
it origionates from the transmitter array
Importantly, the oxygen supply is low, cutting straight into the research wing would kill everything.
and likely cause the container housing the old strain to rupture, "failing" immidiately.
(also nice use of Hex!)
