Hi all. This is my new mod that adds new weapons. At the moment it only adds two lasers:
-Mining Laser
-Death Laser
The mod may be expanded, when i have more ideas and time.

Changes:

  • The name of the mod has been changed from "New Weapons Mod" to "New Weapons And Devices Mod" (short is NW&DM or NWADM).
  • Installation method changed to standard (through mods manager in-game).
  • All modules are divided into groups by technology level (groups number will increase in future updates).
  • All items moved to new editor groups with their respective technologies.
  • Changed the description of the mod, added credits.
  • Corrected English translation.
  • Added French translation.
  • Fixed compatibility issue with "Kodename Kannons" mod.

Changes to modules characteristics:

  • "Death Laser" is now called "Impulse Laser ''Destroyer'' ". Laser will now be fire by shorter impulses, power consumption increased by 100%, damage increased by 20%, reloading time decreased by 3 times.
  • Damage and power of ignition in the explosion of the Plasma Reactor and the Incendiary Missiles Factory have increased.
  • Changed the targeting settings for the SP-Flamethrower.

This mini-update contains some changes in the weapon targeting settings. Also, the maximal and optimal firing range was slightly increased for some weapons.

For compatibility with Cosmoteer 0.14.2 it was necessary to change some groups of parameters, therefore characteristics of some weapon can differ with the last NWADM version.
In this version, both flamethrowers NOT ignore shields!

This temporary updated version was created only for stable work in Cosmoteer 0.14.8. It does not contain a detailed description of modules and some other things. Now I'm working on NWADM 1.0.4, which will be a fledged update.

SunriseSP What do you think about bomb launcher? Just cannon what fires massive explosion capsules. And rapid fire laser cannon.

Arvard It's not a bad idea, but I don't know how to program it well enough. I'm better at drawing sprites.

      Okay, i'll check on the new version.

      SunriseSP On english(google translter is bad translater): You take a cannon, change the sprite to it, change the projectile it shoots and make a sprite to it. I'll even try to do it.
      Also i write this on russian becase you know russian language)
      Берёшь пушку, меняешь ей спрайт, меняешь снаряд которым она стреляет и делаешь к нему спрайт. Я даже попробую сделать это.

      Arvard I can certainly repaint the сannon, but i think it's better to have a completely different design. But you have to write in code location of crew, doors, walls, and so on. I'm not really good at this right now.
