Yes, this mod adds emitters that project a waving flag.
Animation is emulated by modified Cosmoteer shader.
It's just an optical illusion -- actual flags would not flutter in space.
To use own faction flag,
Replace either flag.png OR flag2.png found at
Documents\My Games\Cosmoteer\Mods\hologram_flag\Flags
Recommended size: 512 x 256 px, or larger in 2:1 ratio.
A Flag 1 emitter projects a flag that flutters in O-pattern
A Flag 2 emitter projects a flag that waves in S-pattern
so do i just download cause it seemed cool and i will have all flags or do i have to do something to the code to different flags which i have no clue how to code?

No coding is required.
1) Locate the mod installed at
Documents\My Games\Cosmoteer\Mods\hologram_flag
2) Replace default flags found under Flags subfolder:
Flags\flag.png and/or
Flags\flag2.png
with your flag in recommended dimensions:
- width: 512 pixels
- height: 256 pixels
3) Restart the game & load saved game to see your flag flying.

Here's a slightly longer version of Iron Imperium flag in 512x256
You may replace Flags\flag.png or Flags\flag2.png file with the new flag.
