Hello, I am jbox1! I have made many mods, so I have decided to make a list of them for reference. I also have made this page to recieve requests for mods you want me to make.

Upcomming Mods

  • Weapon mod: Despite my claim to fame with Drones ++, I have not made a dedicated weapons mod... welp, I figured it was time to change that. This weapons mod will feature some big weapons, and will center around looks over OPness
  • Warhammer 40K parts: This isn’t my mod, but I have been hired by Storm to make parts for her mod. So far so good!
  • Automation ++ Addon: more weapons: A mod dedicated to drone and automation tailored weapons.
  • Automation ++ Addon: Dimensional Colective: Adds in parts not unrelated to a Cosmoteer faction called the dimensional collective.
  • Scavanger Mod: Contains some neat, cosmoteer roleplay inspired parts (and not just the Scavangers!)

Also, feel free to ask for “Private mods” for faction based parts, weapons, or just if you have a cool idea. A private mod can be freely distributed by you, provided you acknowledge me as the original designer. These will only be limited to mini-mods, so don’t swamp me with a lot of parts!

Drones ++ Development update!

I have crossed my first hurdle, and made the first drone core in my mod! Its fairly basic, but it does it’s job! A drone core is a part that acts like a control room, and can supply power to parts within a certain distance. My future plan is to add control stations, which are parts that need crew, but when active will be able to control drones. This is so as to stop people simply switching out control rooms for drone cores, to save time, space and money. I also have plans to add a large, expensive “super computer” part which allows drones to act independently, without a control station, but also be rather large. You could have a drone mothership with a supercomputer, and also be controlling a few follower ships. The trade off is that you can’t use crew controlled parts (unless you allow crew to be enslaved by robot overlords, your choice)
Now, im onto making my first weapon (which will most copy code and sprites off the game already)

@jbox1 I can help with testing the mods if you need it (I could be a beta tester for your mods)

    ZyerFire I’ll be fine for the moment, it’d probably be easier if I test them (unless you want to send 20 error reports back and forth for an hour or so 😃) Id be happy to send you beta versions simply for you to review, say if I made a spelling error, or you think I need to balance a part.

      jbox1 And I just released v1.0.5 of my mod but your ships in the scavengers don't work for some reason just download that version if you want to see if you can fix it.

          I'm still going to do drones better than you, since I have a much more fetched out idea, as its been in the books for longer.

          Bubbet I feel as if this may go the wrong way, and Ill end up submitting mods that you had already made, and since you)ve got the head start with yout placeholder mod...

          jbox1 I mean i have a lot of stuff already made, that hasn't been released, because big updates.
          I came up with that drone idea September 2nd. Or at-least that's the earliest i have it documented.

          Bubbet I’ve had only a week to learn how to mod, and this is my first major leap. I was actually inspired by your place holder mod’s energy wires, and thought I could use that simmalar concept... it isn’t a copy or anything. The difference is that I am doing an area effect, as upposed to discrete, linear wire. BTW, it is a great mod. (First off, it doesn’t crash my computer)

            ZyerFire it doesn’t quite work like that. Im a nub, hes an expert. Plus, I wouldn’t be of much help.

            jbox1 I mean I'm working with namek. Don't know what you'd call him.

            jbox1 You would learn from him. And I am new to modding too (well new to modding cosmoteer) (I know how to mod star trek armada II fleet operations) (But they are two different things)

            jbox1 Yeah hes been doing the art, but he certainly isn't clueless when it comes to parts.

              jbox1 I do all the sprites! And indeed, as Bubbet said, I am not clueless about what is going on in the coding part, since I can code, and I know almost all the commands that Walt has provided us, since I learn from Bubbet.
