The mod is working fine for me so far, I didn't run into any issues using 0.4.6 RC4 with Cosmoteer 0.12.10 (stable).
The reason I'm posting here is the following: I noticed Photon Torpedos actually do direct damage to shield generators when they are hitting the shield arc. (which is apparently intended) It is enough to in fact destroy most shield generators instantly (!), even though they wouldn't even have made the shield itself fail (as is the case with alot of the deflector versions of the Abh mod).
I'm since then trying to remove the PartDamage inflicted on the shield generator in the "ammo_shots/phot_torp.txt", but comparing it to the Quantum Torpedo (because they are similar except the area damage) which does NOT damage the shield generators directly on hitting the shield arc, I can't find the difference in the code which causes this damage.
Going over the config, I thought it would be a PartDamage function in the HitShield module, but except the inflicted ShieldDamage and Impulse I can't see any function to damage the actual shield generator.
I don't expect anyone to change his mod just because a certain weapons strength doesn't fit my taste, so I thought I could maybe ask nicely for help on changing the Photon Torpedos behavior to only inflict damage to the shield, not the generator itself.
Could someone (or you personally Lafiel) please help me figure out how to make that happen?
