FORTREZZER Kinetic cannon won't fire unless a target is in range, and directly in front of it.

    Eventied i tested it it does not work either,so many its a bug/glitch....

      FORTREZZER Because this mod is dead, the creator wont come back... So perhaps this tread should be closed so people wont bring up a dead mod that only brings errors... (even tho the mod is freakin awesome)

      I'm using it, after a few text edits recommended by @GunsForGuns a few posts back. I thought the mod would not load at all, if changes were not made to the files.

      @FORTREZZER: Do other items in the mod work, like the "small laser machine gun?"

      On the subject of plagiarism - that is the act of using someone's words as if they were your own. So, if someone wants make a new thread with a link to this one, of their own working updated version, giving full credit to the original creator, detailing their changes to the original work, and is willing to take it down if the OP asks or comes back with their own update - I don't think there will be a problem.

        Eventied if you send me the mod that you have edited I could give it a look and try and fix it for you

          GunsForGuns I'm good! Read your post, made changes. Blowing up stuff with these mod parts in 0.13.5.

          I'm hinting in my post, that "someone" like you, could post a mod-fix mod: already edited txt files that will work. Drop-in replacement files. For those folks who are not as comfortable with digging through files and making changes.

                The small machine gun works but the kinetic cannons does not want to work.

                    Welcome back! What is wrong with calling a different shader for the big cannon's built-in shield, as suggested by GunsForGuns? (scroll back to 10 Jan.) It seems to work that way. Edit: ok, I read your other posts and never noticed that the entire part was disabled, when the shield went down.

                    Separately, why not just balance a big cannon with double hitpoints of the medium? The long range shield is cool, but maybe not necessary. If the gun is buried deep inside a ship, we can cover it with normal shields.

                    the_guy545 I think they´re basically both, kinda like the Artillery ships from "Dreadnought" one massive weapon with a ship built around...well or behind them.

                      Firestorm armada is a spaceships battle miniature game, which i do play and i have a big fleet actually. And its not Dindrenzi, its Directorate, which are corporations who only seek benefits XD.
