ProntoManagement Well, I've been rounding up my research competencies (Directly translated. Imagine it as a pair of large tasks one must make in the final year of high school. ). I have one for math, and one for Latin. I've been working on them for most of the year.
For math I went for something I had some basic knowledge of and chose programming on a Ti-84+ calculator. Discussed a lot of things in that paper, and combined all I had learned in a simple game I made some months. The goal is to get as many X's without getting catched by the R. Sounds simple, well it is.
The only pain in the back was that I didn't have cable to connect the calculator to a computer around that time, so I had to write all the code directly on the calculator. Was it worth it? Hell yeah!
It's very funny to see others try my game, and score 2 points. When I show them the code afterwards they act like I've been so stupid taking the most difficult subject, while I know I actually took the easiest one. I mean, I don't need to do very complex calculations.
Latin, well. It's not that interesting. Just a lot about the medical world in old Rome. (Did you know Romans had a special pair of tweezers to help remove a patient's uvula? Sounds horrible, I know.)
