Aisling My CA was designed to fight larger ships after all, guess I'll get you something with cannons instead of railguns and some less backwards thrust.
Your BB still uses too many reactors. The inner thruster modules will only have on side active at once, meaning the reactor will only have to power one side too. You should also power two shields with one reactor instead of getting every shield an own and put the ammo factories directly behind your cannons. You could reduce the number of doors here and there btw.
That's no peak performance tho.
As Gustav already said, everyone has made a block ship at one point. I'd post one of mine, but they're all terribly old and extremely inefficient....
About that other ship:
-
Internal weapons rarely work as intended
-
Laser arrays on something that large are rather pointless
-
You should check on your door placement
-
Reduce the amount of armor behind some outer modules
-
At this point, I'm just gonna send you some of my modules. Use them until you've got the energy usage and general efficiency figured (you'll probably continue using them afterwards, they're already pretty good)
Some modules for you to use:
I'd also suggest having a functionality test by selecting all weapons of your module, setting them to 'Auto-Fire' and adding/(re)moving parts based on the results. Wait, I've got a small guide on how to build good ships somewhere, lemme find and copy-paste it:
-
Get a nice frame (or skip this if you don't have any)
-
Decide where to put which parts
-
Place the parts you decided on
-
Test everything and deal with any issues you might spot
-
Have a test fight against a ship with a similar cost
-
Improve any weaknesses you've spotted during the fight
-
Have another test fight against a way better ship
-
Improve durability where needed; take care of any new problems
-
Safe your new ship (may also be done before testing and/or after editing)
-
Give it some nice paint if you feel like (and safe the painted ship too)
