About these other things, I have the following explanations.
About the reactor modules being too large, I partially agree. It would have been better to put the shield besides the launcher, and the factory closer if I wanted to go for compact. In this case however I aimed for thinner, longer modules to prevent explosions chaining easily, while still keeping the nuke launchers close to eachother.
Since the flak are firing almost without stopping, the crew has little time to power those shields, perhaps it seems wasteful to add those storages, they certainly help a little. Also, this module was created way to hastely, since I noticed I was on shortage of flak and didn't want to waste too much credits.
- Yes, I know that those reactors are partially a waste, but unless I make the shield layers even bigger there isn't much to do with them. If I would connect them to the launchers the crew would focus on loading the launchers instead of powering shields.
- Going for the command rooms leaves the nukes unharmed, dealing massive damage. It's far better to take those out first.
To resume things, this is the first 'decent' ship I've made with nukes. If it is a bit flawed, that doesn't matter. I'm still a 'student' in this case, and I'm learning.
Expect my future nuke ships to be better. Perhaps this ship may not pass, and probably neither will the next. But know this: I will get a nuke ship into this mod!
