in my attempt to defeat the Dauntless, I can say that the fight has lasted long enough.

The Dauntless won by very little, but my ship is in developing development and at one time or another I will defeat the ALFA ship.

Lukz2cool Passed! Funnily enough now that my ships are faster, kiting them is somewhat harder to do, but now slow ships with a lot of guns out class them ha ha!

Northerner Haha, nice. Every ship does have it's own category, on top of the budget system.

It's nice to know that I've improved in ship building enough to get into the mod 😄. It is still an extremely daunting task, and takes hours for every ship to get thoroughly tested, but the work pays off, and I think it shows.

Oneye I'll be sure to test against this ship with my next one. Thanks for the tips with the engines, I'll see if I can apply that in the future.

CursedPh4nt0m In order of submissions it is Pass, fail, fail, pass. Congrats you are in the mod! Slow ships with a lot of weapons seem to be what is making it into the mod now. ~~Oh well, at least its not so easy for kites to get in now. Should be easier to get into the mod as well then.~~

Welp, come up with an experimental design to try and get it into the mod. The ships shape is a little out of my comfort zone, however I think I've come up with an effective result. It beats both of my previous ships, so I believe that's a good start.

Lukz2cool Passed! That is stupid amount of flak as long as shots go into that cone nothing will hit it, except for rail guns naturally.

JPS-205 Did not pass. Better you managed to do a little more damage with this design. You need more PD and better shielding. Also about half of your missiles hit their own ship.

I'll give you a small dictionary of the abbreviations we use around here.

PD = Point Defense

FE = Fire Extinquisher

GiF = Galaxy in Flames

EB = Electro Bolt

CR = Control Room

LC = Large Cannon

BH = Bounty Hunter

MP = Multiplayer

RoD = Ring of Death

Other strange expressions/words:

Meta = A strategy that's very OP at the moment, and therefore used by many in MP.

Cheesing = Using exploits to defeat a certain enemy. This is caused mostly by AI-flaws or bugs in the game.
