As the singularity comes in, a raging beam of plasma and matter spews out of it at the Collective ships, hammering on the shielding. Then the singularity impacts, shattering the shields and tearing through any ships directly in its path, while the sheer gravity of it tear apart other ships and redirects attacks at the Forge towards itself. The rings around it then start firing ridiculously high power lances at all targets in range, feeding on the remains of the devoured ships. Around the main installation, the shields, now rejuvenated, stand in the way of the drones, and point defense systems begin firing at the drones. by the time they make it to the Forge, only three remain. Those three are all that are needed, however. They impact the rings, and crack a large section off that then begins to break up and fall into the star. The star itself swells and jerks in odd ways as the remaining portions of the ring struggle to hold the star in check. Desperate, the engineers release the stress in the only way possible: A colossal solar flare. Using the magnetic field of the shipyards, they direct it into a roiling column of light large enough to roast entire planets. And it's aimed at the attacking ships...
