The soldiers are on a lush planet, in the middle of plains with white wave-like grass. Far away they see a bunch of small houses that were reinforced with wooden sticks and an improvised landing pad from leaves glued by a secretion of some plant. Turning around, they see a giant black building not entirely tall, just one or two meters high, and a plain staircase. The building is made from metal, which slightly shines and is magnetic, judging by CRATE's ability to maglev above it with magwheels. The metal seems to be nearly indestructible, as CRATE immediately informs. The party moves on the staircase and sees a nearly perfectly flat landscape of this metal, with occasional buildings and entrances underground. After just a minute of stepping on the staircase, grey fog starts to drift slightly below the party's heads. The weather is still sunny, and everything above it is visible, the fog is also moderately transparent so the party can see their feet. If anything was laying on the floor anywhere further away from the party and wasn't as shiny as CRATE, it certainly wouldn't be seen. Nevertheless, the soldiers advance to an asphalt road with a series of high-tech fans blowing the fog away from this road. The road is shielded by hardlight barriers on each side, and shooting them seemed to have minimal effect. Just as the party steps on the asphalt, the fans stop blowing and a high door from the black metal rises extremely quickly behind, starting to hover 4-5 cm above the surface and moving forward at about 4 km/h. After a few seconds, it releases a strangely silent set of sawblades with one exact purpose. CRATE informs the party that the hardlight barrier on the road is one-way and the wall will always be a bit behind the party if they leave the road, however, it states that there won't be an entrance back onto the road anytime soon and fog may hide wild houndroids lurking in it. CRATE expects for the fog to fade after 1-2 hours, and advises to not speed up as the wall has a set maximum distance from the party.
After about half an hour of walking on the road, the party encounters a shack parallel to the hardlight barrier, which moves to allow entrance to the shack. The latter has a wooden door that looks like it has surely seen better times. The shack is wooden too, but a shot revealed the same metal hidden under about 1cm of wood. The wall stops, allowing entrance to the shack. CRATE informs that the wall will stay so until the party moves on, and scanning the shack revealed a 100% chance for it to not have another door, but the contents are unknown. The walking does not exhaust the party at all, and they don't seem to feel any hunger or thirst. CRATE advises to check the shack as it won't have many dangers in it so close to the start.
