Rules are there to bend and break - it seems!

You can use storage and do "fly-by attacks", then go into a loop and reload.
You save credits using storage.

Heavy armored ships became quite popular in the meanwhile!

... 😉

Oneye#95706 I use spaced out shields myself, but I kinda prefer weapons over armor. Which is the exact reason I hate eb on enemy ships... I know they're supposed to kill your shields but I´d like some way to protect the weapons while the shields are down. Tried to solve this by applying even more shields, something clearly not working.
Btw that is another "Don't": Don't overuse shields. Eb projectiles will hit all shields they pass through!
Oh and I couldn't find some "Protect your ships corners!!!" post, so here it is.

PS: I just realised my Posts are kinda long. Gonna try to write shorter ones in the future.

CursedPh4nt0m Well, you'll need those long post writing skills. If you can write a list of tips I can put them in the "Peoples tips" section under your name.

Tip. When filling empty spaces with corridors, divide the spaces into sections using armor. This can help contain fires, delay your ship from being cut in half and overall, provides greater internal support as well as a sort of frame

Sooo this ship is bad??

-Tip: When using laser weapons, DON"T PUT REACTORS behind them. Most of the laser weapons have low health, or require so much armor to protect them, you might as well get another ship.

-Tip 2: Are your reactors being continuously used when a power storage is right in front of it? Make a doorway that is only connected to the reactor and storage. Make sure the storage has a door to a walkway, and only the storage.

-Tip 3: If your Heavy Cannons are running out of ammo alot and you already have a ammo factory connected to it, Connect another and add some extra crew. It will load twice as fast and it almost never stops firing!!

BattleCruiserCommander It uses mods, so I can't really tell you. But it does seem rather slow, and you could have used the space that was taken up by the excessive control rooms for some more internal thrusters. Or turned a lot of the armor in between them into structure.

Oneye isn't one of your tips to have multiple control rooms?

CursedPh4nt0m This guide totally works for smaller ships, but I kinda HAVE to clump reaktors to power some max-sized battleship´s weapons and shields.

Everyone else doesn't. Not more than a couple where shielding around corners, maybe three for an acute corner.

BattleCruiserCommander isn't one of your tips to have multiple control rooms?

The purpose of multiple control rooms is so that you can't be shut down by concentrated fire. A square of four control rooms isn't helping at all over what one control room provides, and you're going overboard even if they were singles. Unless your ship is designed to break into independent ships you probably don't need more than three control rooms and two is usually enough.

Atarlost the ship is designed to handle a bunch of tiny ships, and maybe 1 to 2 biggies.

Besides, I think if a cannon shot shoots one of them, I can relax knowing the ship controls are fine.

Are there any "Do's and Dont's" on this ship?

BattleCruiserCommander Multiple control rooms Yes, but still 12 is bit to much for this ship size, instead of that you can have 3-4 but better protected for same money, and still some additional weapons/shields/thrusters.
Sensors have no additional effect if stacked so 1 is enough, they drain a bunch of energy, and lot of crew, for just little bit longer line of sight now, and no change to that soon. And placing reactors at 4 together is no perfect as well, expect you are fan of huge explosions 😃

the_guy545 I can not help you with that because it is almost completely modded. Sorry.

          Oneye Oh. Ok. It's fine.

the_guy545 I can only think of one "Do": Build and use ships your computer can actually handle. It once took me several hours (don´t remember exactly, but it was quite some time) to build a ship that just made my game crash. That absolutely wasn`t worth it. My computer is pretty bad (guess u could use the term "total garbage") and I instantly knew your ship would rather kill my game than my ships.... Got no useful tips regarding this one for that reason.

            PS: Sry, can`t stop writing!

            Oneye
Do's: -move your shields outwards to prevent rockets from exploding near your ships hull. (This DOESN'T replace point defense!)
-build and use ships your computer can actually handle.
-check the explosion range of reactors (and other explosive parts) while building a ship in creative mode. ("Self destruct" has proven quite useful in that regard.)

Don'ts: -use too many shields at a single spot.
-rely solely on shields. Taking them down is way easier than you may expect.
(-be an asshole. This one should be self-explanatory.)

CursedPh4nt0m My computer is a lot better than yours apparently, as my computer can handle about 5-8 of these, and perhaps 10-15 of these if I go to 1/20th speed using the Tweakscale mod.

the_guy545 So that's how the mod is called. Was wondering all the time how you could possibly use 1/20th speed... Thx

CursedPh4nt0m there are a few mods that change the time speed, for example speedset mod
