No idea how to get the mod to work, when I downloaded off of the last link, it simply said it couldn't open the file, however for other mods it opened right away. I tried to install it on cosmoteer, and it didn't work. Did I choose the wrong link or?

Milesofgaming Just checked myself, downloading and opening works fine for me. Try downloading again. Downloads can fail sometimes when your connection or drive react slow or when you run out of memory. The file would end up corrupted.
Lafiel I'll try again, I'll repeat it a few times and let you know what happens. I'll add Gyazo screenshots if possible to show what happens.

If I attempt to extract the files, it says the file is not valid.

Lafiel I did that already, and it did the same message.
When I try to extract with WinRar, it says the archive is corrupt.
Milesofgaming Then I don't know, I ran a check with my winrar and no error showed up. Perhaps there's a problem with account access right?
Lafiel I believe so. Not exactly sure what is causing the issue, but when I've downloaded other mods, everything worked just fine.

You need explosive bolts and have them shot be the enemy. I've added a turn on button to manually destroy them but it requires an enemy to be around and for some reason it doesn't always work.
MrMango You have to have a door to the escape pod berth or pod. I designed it so at least one crew should man it. If there's no crew because they were busy elsewhere at the time the escape pod is released, you just go to the repair tap; repair and hire a new crew. Right now docking or detaching is not in the game yet. So you either build or buy a new ship. You could use a blueprint to drop it into the building grid.
MrMango It happens automatically when your ship or the explosive bolt is destroyed. You could chain the explosive bolts to the reactors. This will allow the berth/pods to be placed safely further away from reactors.
The explosive bolts also serve as corridors so there shouldn't be a problem in terms of building. But only 3 can be chained for a working chain-reaction.
Generally you should consider retreating as soon as your ship looses half its weapons. If your ship is too small then there won't be enough time to give commands, and you have to rely on the explosive bolts getting destroyed.

So have you found out what might be the problem or no luck? Because it just tells me the file is invalid. I've deleted and downloaded it many times and have had no luck.
Edit: I've used WinRar to repair the file and now it works just fine.
Milesofgaming No idea why. It might be mediafire doesn't work for you for some reason, perhaps bad timing of the day. Whatever, it fails rarely for me. I would just look at it raw and can see whether it's corrupted that way and simply re-download.
Yeah, repairing is zip's greatest strength. All other packers don't work as well. One reason I still use zip, with rar second.

I'm sure this has been posted before but how do you get the Phaser Lance to fire. I have sensors and the required control room to unlock and it still doesn't fire. The I thought maybe sensor range isn't long enough so I added the astro room. But it still will not fire. How do I fix this or is this a bug?
MattyBart I have lowered the fire interval so it should shoot every 10 seconds now. It's still a fixed weapon, hence, will only fire when (its) target is right ahead. I don't know if the game has the mirror building problem fixed yet which was the earlier problem that kept it from firing. Reloading a savefile fixed this. The problem happens when you copy past and mirror it.
