Coupling: Can be placed between blocks like a door. Coupling can attach to and detach from corridor and structure. Allowing lager ships to be built in parts.
Hinges: Hinges attach to corners of ship parts allowing up to 270 degrees of rotational motion. Hinges would be able to be used in tandem to coupling allowing large sections of ship to swing to and fro.
Boarding: Using couplings, hinges, and tractor beams, boarding would be possible. If player 1’s ship opens and connects to an exposed corridor or structure of player 2’s ship, player 2 can either fight off the enemy or lose the ship. Self-destruct is another option for player 2 but only if the control room is still operational. If player 1 takes the ship, repairs can be made, and the ship switches allegiance. Player 1 still cannot save the ship design.
Armory: Armory rooms would come in two varying sizes, to provide gear and weapons for a certain number of crewmembers, 4 and 8 for example. The weapons would be held like the fire extinguishers but have a different spite. In the boarding scenario player 1 would regret attempting to board if player 2 had enough armory rooms. Armed personnel can kill 4 regular crew members. Normal crew members can only kill one crew member and they die in the process.
Outside of creative mode, Self-destruct should only work if the control room is operational.
Each additional rail-gun accelerator module should increase the range of a rail gun by 3%. It is possible to make a long rail gun, but the gun’s range is not much longer than the gun itself. I am aware that in attempt to balance weapons, a weapon cannot be superior to others. Adding this feature would require a lot of checks and balances.
Thank you for your consideration and time.
