KrankysFirebrand48 A frigate located at the front of the battlegroup shields shimmers and drops as it is overloaded with turbolaser fire. The Titanium A2 plating that kept the frigate safe takes some of the hits due to its heightened heat resistance to energy weapons. The turbolasers break through the armour causing holes and carbon scoring to appear all along the hull. The shield then goes back up and blocks the rest of the fire as the ship puts more energy into its shielding systems causing its engines to dimmer from the quick energy redistribution.
The CWIS M38 Spitfire batteries that were present on all of the ships of the battlegroup swivel back and forth automatically as their computer systems identify hundreds if not thousands of targets coming at them. This is because of the overlapping defence network of every single ship in the fleet. Linking as one and sending data back towards one another in very short quick responses that a human could never compute. The enemy missiles do not stand a chance as they come into the range of the linked network. Litteral thousands of specialized rounds fill the void of vacuum as they intercept the missiles. However, nothing is without flaw and a few missiles manage to break through the defensive network. The M7A 50mms take care of the straggelers.
The mighty supercarrier continues to launch missile barrages at the enemy. From the top of its hull, large missile tubes open as fire and smoke pour out of them launching the large Bident-Class missiles at the enemy. The longsword-sized missiles speed through space towards their target.
Admiral Kent watches with a smirk on her face as the enemy is pummeled into destruction. None of her ships had been lost or too severely damaged in this first battle except for three of the frigates who were at the front of the battlegroups position. They had hull breaches in a few of their sections due to the tubolaser barrage.
