MadStar how much?

Roasted when a mod give you turrets, you use them. if you dont spam the turrets in the middle of your ship, you either get a small ship or an armor blob, or worse, a corridor blob

    kwhwwymwn Ize lost around half of itself, it's slightly cheaper than your battleship somehow. (Ize is currently only a single module)

      pretty sure people already saw this ship but eh
      I still need some tips on better shipbuilding but its the best one I ever made so yeah

      LordEcho
      Welcome LordEcho, from my short experience on warhammer mod and other mods:

      -The vanilla reactor and the other mods with propellants are totally exceeded by that of this mod;
      -Any part requiring a constant power supply must be connected to a plasma reactor, at least two for large propellants and shields, like this, you have infinite boost propulsion, even if you can boost I used 300 percent shielded and propulsur by adding large gangway;

      • put more directions reactor;
        • do not underestimate energy weapons, they almost always strike, and;
          Placed defense turrets in a row in a battery, this can protect you from maccros fire and great terrors, EMP missiles, or How to reduce an extremely expensive ship to a defenseless and immobile artillery platform.

        KaeligRoperhe Didn't really get the second point but I understood the first, thank you
        Edit: I think I got it. To get better defense from EMPs and stuff I should put Close-In-Line battery defenses? Seems good

          LordEcho The second point ?

            LordEcho I hope this version has some preoper defense against burning out?
            Also turning speed and the lacking missile defense Kaelig mentioned. I disagree slightly about WH40k reactors being always better than vanilla ones, but the choice of reactor doesn't really matter with the current placement anyway. Try to distribute them properly and cut down on the chain reactions if possible.

            my heretical absolution carrier

              Well yeah, I don't really play cosmoteer anymore cuz I don't use cosmoteer ships for RP, this work is a month old by now.

              It was quite old so I decided to update it with some more recent parts and to just improve survivability. Also, the game broke after I removed the bridge before the macros several times and I couldn't build anymore.

                Super_Mapper this work is a month old by now.

                Super_Mapper It was quite old

                no

                  I've finally gotten to making Warhammer (or to say the truth "warhammer-ish") ships.
                  This one is based on an Apocalypse-class Imperial Battleship. And the name is also taken directly from the lore. Of course it has much more weaponry than a "true" version of it. But main weapons layout is mostly close to the original.
                  Also it is quite a big one and costs over 65 million. Hope you'll enjoy this one!
                  P.S
                  I'm a crappy color designer, if someone could make a cool kinda lore-friendly colouring for it, it would be just awesome!

                  HyperMaxxwell The Apocalypse battleship use only of lance weapons

                  ShadowZero
                  You have eagle eyes,
                  I did not see the overload of reactors, the explosion of the ship must be enormous

                  KaeligRoperhe
                  The Apocalypse uses macro turrets on the spine as well as broadside lance artillery. The one with lances only is called Victory class. And yes,

                  ShadowZero
                  it doesn't really blow up that easily, there isn't almost any reactors that aren't separated by one or more layers of ceramite

                    HyperMaxxwell Nein, the Apocalypse use only Lance turret

                      KaeligRoperhe
                      The Apocalypse-class Battleship is a very old design, its main weapons are broadside batteries of lance weaponry. They were extremely powerful (and are extremely powerful in the 40-41st millenia, even more powerful than the re-invented ones used on the Victory class, more on that later) but used too much energy. It leads to draining power from the engines while using the lances on full power aka on the highest distances available. That's why they are often (almost always) being used on medium distances, because if the target isn't crippled via long-distance sniping, ship becomes extremely vulnerable, due to the fatal lack of maneuverability. Additional lances weren't an option for obvious reasons, but ship needed additional weaponry for medum-close distance combat. That's why it has macro-turrets. The technology of these lances was lost after the heresy and Apocalypses are now quite a rare sight. But Mechanicus wanted to make more "battleship-snipers" that's why they kinda re-invented big broadside lance batteries. They were installed on the hull of one of the most common battleships of post-heresy Imperium - on the hull of Retribution-class battleship, which already had lance turrets on top. New lance broadsides weren't nearly as powerful as the ones of Apocalypse, but were able to fire at maximum distances without overloading the ships reactors. This ship design, which uses ONLY lances is relatively new and is called a Victory-class. If you still don't trust me, check Warhammer wiki, and data of Battlefleet Gothic, where you can find more detailed information on this topic.
