I've setup a #translations channel on Discord for people to communicate with each other. If you can't get in touch there, you might just want to wait a bit until they seem to be taking a break. Maybe leave a comment on one of their translations suggesting they get in touch.

@IVIemories just pointed out to me that there's an existing Chinese simplified+traditional translation by @clojelo, so I just uploaded those to the project.

Walt Honestly, I just trust you all more. You all have a far better understanding of the game than a professional translator will, and so I think you can do a better job. Cosmoteer isn't some simple mobile game, it's a complex simulation game with lots of tricky concepts, and I need people who understand those concepts to do the translation.

I have 3 applications.
1: The rest of the untranslated is: keys and other characters (not requiring translation). The keys on the keyboard for us are the same as for YOU.
2: I cannot translate and verify TRANSLATION forever. Starting next year, I will leave for the ARMY and someone will have to replace me. When I leave I WILL NOT MIND if someone continues my work and takes My translation as a basis.
3: I don’t like the site’s work for editing translation, so I trust this matter to YOU.

I was literally typing the same thing the very second this message popped up, so i agree!

I have another question though, a lot of the phrases in our Dutch translation are currently in 'Not FInalized'. What does this mean and what is the difference to 'No vote'? Because a lot of the phrases in 'not finalized' also lack any votes.

"Finalized" means that I have locked it and no one can change it. I will probably not be doing that.

"No vote" just means no one has voted for it yet.

Currently, Cosmoteer uses the same embedded font to render text.
Any chance the dev would allow the player to select from installed fonts at the computer?

Pros: Player can customize Cosmoteer UI with favorite font in native language
Cons: Extra load time for font assets. Less quality control over UI look.

IMPORTANT UPDATE:

Because I am hiring professional translators for the Modern version (too much text has changed since classic to get it all translated in time), I am ending the "free steam key" reward for any languages that are not yet listed at translate.cosmoteer.net. Contributions to all existing languages will still be honored as originally promised!

Even though I won't be using the community translations in the Modern version, I would still greatly appreciate your feedback on the professional translations before the Modern version launches on steam. So if you can provide translation feedback (especially for German, French, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, or Simplified Chinese), then please go apply for the closed beta.
