There was no answer, nobody responding to his yelling, only the humming of his own blade...
Silence...
...
Suddenly there was a third screeching, so close and loud that the organic part made him feel as if his innards were melting, the corridor ahead of him seemed to bend outwards as if seen through a large lense...
The screeching still went on, amidst of bent section of the corridor a large, almost 4 metres tall construct appeared with a gravitational wave rolling through the corridor, sending him to the ground...
It had the shape of a three pointed star, with long arms coming from the lower gaps, made up from fragments which seemed to be floating disconnected and yet attached to the main body, the entire construct was of an almost unworldly black, red glowing lines and signs covering it´s surface...
The screeching faded into the metallic and the lights went out, his bones were shaking, the only thing still seen was what Dark Storms own blade illuminated and the glowing lines and large hexagonal eye of the construct, erratically the lights inside the eye shifted and jumped but the screeching didn´t stop this time, as if this monstrosity was searching or hunting for something...

William Hawkins stood there with his revolver in his hands looking around...
There was still no changes to the corridor, still the same wood, the same lights, the same doors...
...
...Silence...
...
Then, once more, the air erupted into the obnoxious screeching, even closer than before so close in fact that the organic part of the sound made his innards start convulsing, the corridor ahead of him seemed to bend outwards as if seen through a large lense...
The screeching continued, in the center of the bent part of the corridor an almost 4 metres tall construct appeared with a gravitational wave rolling through the corridor, forcing William to the ground for several moments until the wave passed...
It had the shape of a three pointed star, with long arms coming from the lower gaps, made of what looked like armorpieces which seemed to be floating disconnected and yet attached to the main body, the entire construct was of an almost unworldly black, red glowing lines and signs covering it´s surface...
The screeching faded into the metallic and the lights went out, his bones were shaking, the only thing still seen were the glowing lines and the large hexagonal eye of the construct, erratically the lights inside the eye shifted and jumped instead of stopping the screeching continued, intesifying the horrific atmosphere, it looked like this machine was searching for him...

...after the beast said that, there was a sound from another door of the room, a windowed one which he couldn´t see through, though it sounded as if someone had just tried to forcefully break into the doors windows...and failed...
As he looked around he also saw another individual, apart of the beast and the young woman, in teh corner of the room there was a man sitting on a bench with which resembled a human, though he had no hair on his head, rather something that looked like a bonecrest...
He looked somewhat like one of those adventures or spacepirates from tv-shows...
The man was watching the scene and briefly turned his head when the crashing at the door was heard andmumbled something akin to: "Lad doesn´ seem to know how to use a door properly." , but didn´t seem to have any intentions of helping him, or the man behind the main door...

As Elohim waited infront of the door he suddenly heard a crashing sound at some point, as if something heavy just hit a desk or a hollow floor, following shortly was a clattering of something long dropping to the floor, then there were voices, a panicked one and two calmer ones...
'Other individuals?'
At this point he tried to bash in the window with his elbow, he raised his arm and...
There was the sound of a door crashing against it´s locking mechanism and then an Elohim looking at the doors´ window...
His elbow was hurting now, the window on the other hand was still intact...
After his attempt to break the window there was the sound of someone mumbling in the room behind...
These doors seemed to be considerably more durable than initially expected.

Behind the door the ground seemed to slowly rise up, but it was even enough for Echo to maintain a decent pace, suddenly the legs scratched the wall and the echolocation updated just about fast enough that Echo didn not crash into the wall to it´s side...
The new corridor seemed to go in a spiral upwards...
Echo continued it´s way after several...undecisive, there seemed to have been a brief error in the internal clock of the AI during the second screeching, it had just reactivated a few minutes ago...
An not further specified amount of time after Echo started walking the lower end of the corridor slipped out of the echolocations active range, according to the map, Echo should be theoretically already several hundred metres above it´s starting point...
Yet, there was no third screeching, no unknown machine or lifeform suddenly jumping out of the darkness and hunting down Echo.
Then the corridor suddenly stopped in a door.
A rather odd thing considering just a moment ago the corridor still went further up in this direction just a few moments ago...
There were sounds behind this new 'door',sounds which could belong to lifeforms and then of something trying to forcefully open a door from the outside, though not the 'door' Echo was standing infront...

Whilst the newcomer was still waving his pitchfork around infront of Kirov who was waiting for an answer, there was suddenly the sound of someone trying to break the front door in...and failing.
Gal´qud rolled his eyes: "Lad doesn´ seem to know how to use a door properly."

Despite the him trying to open the door violently, all he achieved is that door swung open and then crashed into the wall, behind it was a relatively small room, with a ladder leading upwards, just about enough space to fit him in without bumping into something should he decide to climb the ladder...
Whilst he was still thinking about wether to or not to go this way the screeching repeated, a third time, louder and even more violent than before, the organic part of the screeching made him feel as if his innards were melting...
Then the corridor to the far right side of the door he was standing infront began bending outwards, as if space was farming a new bubble inside the corridor, then, with a gravitational wave that forced Dhas to his knees until it passed by, a large construct appeared amidst the bubble in the corridor, it was almost four metres tall and had the shape of a three pointed star, as well as two segmented arms, all of it in an unwordly black covered in red glowing lines...
The screeching continued instead of stopping and faded into the metallic, all lights in the corridor went out, his bones were shaking from the sound, in the darkness and amongst the horrific metallic screeching, the only thing seen were the red lines of this contruct, and it´s ingular hexagonal eye tiwtching and shifting, likely in order to find Dhas...

The silence which reigned in the corridor after the screeching, whilst he was preparing, was almost eerie, the corridor laid bare and still as he was sorting his magazines, the ramp curving around and leaving everything that was behind the curve in uncertainty...
As abrupt as the first two screeches, the third one almost 'erupted' in his ears, it was louder and even more aggressive than the first two, so loud that some of his innards started convulsing from the mere sound of it, following the start of the screeching the main corridor to his left side started being outwards forming a sphere around...something, it din´t look natural as if someone was expanding the space inside the section of the corridor...
With a shockwave that forced even Nate to his knees until the moment it passed an almost four metres tall construct appeared in thr corridor, it had the shape of a three pointed star with the ends being directed slightly backwards, covered in an unworldy balck colour...
There were what looked like arms attached to it, made up from shards of varying size and shape, then the screeching shifted into the metallic and all lights in the corridor went out, the construct however was still visable, all it´s parts being covered in red glowing lines...
The lights inside hexagonal eye at it´s center were jumping around as if searching for something, whilst the screeching continued in utter darkness, making Nates bones shake...

As CETA stomped down the stairs, his steps eachoed from the walls, filling the staircase with noise, notably however, despite the weight of the dronebody he was using, none of the stairs seemed to give in to his steps, nor did any of them creek...
Was this really wood?
He had made no attempts to keep track of how many stairs he had climbed but after an amount of time he, for some reason, couldn´t pin down exactly anymore he started wondering how much longer this staircase would go on...
He didn´t hear another screeching though, nor did anything jump out of the darkness above or below to attack him.
...and suddenly he stood infront of a door another rotation further down...
On the other side of the door there were noises, he heard how someone tried to break a door in and failed, considering he didn´t hear teh door crash to the ground, then there was a voice and for another brief moment silence again...

Kar'Guraad entered the room with the staircase and started his ascend, taking several stairs at once, to get a decent distance from the corridor he left behind...
Astoundly the stairs didn´t seem to give in under the combined weight of himself and the powerarmor, stair, after stair, after stair, he climbed further...
...and further...
Kar'Guraad started losing track of time and he didn´t count the stairs either, though from what he could tell he must be already hundreds of metres above the level he started on, even though he had slowed down to one step at a time...
Yet, there was no new screeching, no eldritch beast following him through the staircase from below or waiting for him above...
...and the staircase went on.
When Kar'Guraad started contemplating about wether going up this staircase was actually the right choice, a door appeared out of the darkness ahead and a few dozen steps later he stood infront of it...
On the other side he could he noises, someone muttering something that sounded like a curse or a complaint then there was a brief moment of silence again...
