From above the the temple, into space, a static starts to occupy a particular stretch of space-time. So much so that sensors would give out absurd readings, almost as if, in that particular place, space was essencially non-existant, or existed in multiple places at the same time, a physical impossibility.
But from this very impossibility emerged a figure: Legs crossed and hand-less forearms atop the knees, atop which hovered a staff about the same size of the entity. It looked down on the planet and the temple, observing the situation on the ground.
Then, from the holes in its forearms, generated clouds of black and cyan smoke, as almost if carried by some kind of strong wind, the grain-like material formed in the shape of hands, that grasped the staff with strength. The entity attained a standing position then dropped into the planet.
The shape of the humanoid being made it such as that it didn't fall at an enormously fast rate. Not enough to create a trail of smoke, but enough that on the landing impact any normal human being would be reduced to a pancake, flattened with bones turned into mush. But that was not the case with such being.
Closing on the ground, the being aimed its staff downards and at an angle, and landed atop the planet. The impact should have been feroucious but it wasn't: With a feet and a hand holding the staff, it hit the ground and drove itself a slight bit underground, but it did not generated a crater, yet, it only generated an awfully loud reverberence sound. Likewise, the tip of the staff seemed to open up more, revealing some kind of electricity flowing to its two outer "Shells".
The being jumped off of its staff, and took the staff out of the ground. The staff's tip reduced again to its original, closed state. The being looked at the general direction of the temple, having landed about 1 km away from it, and headed towards it.
