The transport vehicle then begins scanning through the water, making a map of the ground area where the ground facility was using all sorts of sensors, including radar, sonar, and others to generate an accurate heightmap over the area to guide the troops when they jump in, and the plasma jets of the highly efficient thrusters suspended the ship in the air only fifty meters above the almost hotspring-like water, and the Buzzer fighters are circling the Intersolar/Interplanetary transport vehicle four kilometers up, occasionally compensating for the gravity of the planet while they maneuvered in an atmosphereless environment that they also had accounted for when designing.
The eight marines, sitting in the large sort of transportation medium alongside their equipment, stood up and then picked up their configurable plasma rifles, with their barrels and firing chambers closed off as to prevent early jams in the firing mechanism, and they started walking towards the hatch, and they put on their helmets and fixed their oxygen tanks to the back, the oxytanks being armored lightly of course, and then when the internal sensors detected everyone has their oxygen pumps and helmets ready, it starts pumping the oxygen out of the room, until finally the door opened to open the way to the extremely hot mass of liquid below them. One by one, each of them jumped out of the hatch, until everyone vacated the craft and the hatch closed. Immediately upon reaching the hot water, each one of them heard a white noise alarm, but it seems to be originating from one particular person in the group, a certain Lance Corporal Jensen, his coolant system seems to be malfunctioning and he starts groaning in pain as inside his suit, it starts getting hotter and hotter, but luckily one of the other persons maneuvers to correct the issue and fixes it in time, and replies with "I'm okay, just a few minor burns, nothing that a few minutes with the medic can't fix," and everyone breathes a sigh of relief as the suits start opening with basic scanners and other equipment and looked around the general area.
One of the troops then stumbles upon a sort of airlock, some way into the facility, the marine then radioed home and the rest of the seven more troops, they swam to the airlock, one of them tries to touch the airlock doors and move his hands around but before he could do that, he triggers the opening system, the nanites moving back into the opened state with the water flowing in, but then the eight swam into the airlock and it closed behind them, and they waited for what would happen next...
