The area that the orb lands in is under the black shroud of night, heavy storm clouds only adding to the oppressive darkness, rain whipping across the ground below, There is a city in the distance, and from it's surroundings there can be detected several strong psychic presences, the ship can also detect an exhaust trace to a nearby hill covered in forest, and there can be seen a faint artificial light there, unlike the natural light of the village.

"No, Crimson was slightly less formal. Which side was his eye patch?"

The procession of torches passes them, they see men in heavy oilskins, and they all seem to have weapons, all of varying description, and most improvised. The two can hear the villagers talking.
"...kymen, be like'ns that brung th' packet."
"Nay, twas a light wi'm, nat flames."
"Who'n be'et then?..."
Then the procession has passed, and it starts to rain, huge raindrops splashing on the mud of the road, the sky even darker than the night has been so far.

The small hatch opens, and the two see an eye, and the corner of an oilskin hood, it stays there for five seconds, then the hatch closes, then opens again, the eye peering out once more, it closes for a third time, then after a second opens again, and this time stays open, the eye staring.
"Bugger me"
The voice that speaks is wheezing, and has a strong accent.
"Blody 'ellfire, s'a seapeople. Wa't 'ell e doin thus far in?"
