He is awakened from his reverie by the sounds of footsteps, and he sees the butler, Berthold standing in the doorway, looking at him with a haughty expression.
"Good morning sir, did you have trouble finding your room?"

The thing vaguely resembled a human, and it's deformed, lumpy body was hunched over, it's head shrunken behind a bony protrusion that extended from the rear of it's neck, it appeared to possess at least three arms, and two scaly prehensile tentacle-like spikes, one of which had almost impaled Nurian fatally, It reared up, it's limbs flailing, then lunged at one of the doors, it's spikes breaking through the wood, ripping the door off it's hinges...

...δ is awoken by a loud rending sound, and sees the lumpen beast standing in the doorway, the sundred door still impaled on it's spikes, it seems to grin at her.
"Come to the dark!"
It Lunges inwards, but gets stuck, the door splintering more...

...the door of the second room on the left opens, and a head peers out, Blak looks at the unfolding scene.
"By Sol!"
His head dissapears again and there are frantic sounds of searching...

The Ambassador jumps up a bit from his chair, then settles down and looks at the butler:
"Oh, uhm... I've no need for that lad, I'm just here trying to gather some information on your culture, thanks."

...Nurian charged back up, reaching for his fireweapon, though deciding against it mid-movement, as he ran back up in only few large leaps, he scanned the thing for it´s vital spots and wether it was human once...

δ seems to lie motionless for a moment, completely unsure as to what to do, before jumping up and off the bed.
she quickly grabs the large gatesword she had placed nearby, ignoring the shield due to lack of time, before entering a combat stance and preparing to fend off the creature should it manage to enter the room.

"I see, then I shall retire for the night, is there anything you require before I do so?"
The Ambassador hears him mutter.
"A saucer of water or bone perhaps?"

The thing is indeed human... or was, with the core of it's body comprised of what was once a human, the odd growths seem to share less similarity, even in DNA makeup, that is so radically different to the original DNA that in any other circumstance it would suggest a different species, however it inexplicably shares the same body. Weak spots appear to be the same as with most humaniod targets, heart, neck, etc, however there may be some trouble getting to them, as a kind of bony, chitinous armour has grown over most of it's vulnerable areas.

The thing seems to decide that δ is not the wisest target currently, and turns, shaking the splinters of the door off it, toward Velkas, a tentacular spike lancing forward at her as she speeds out of her room, it catches her on her left arm... and carves a deep groove in the armour!
Blak appears again at the second door, pulling his waistcoat on, and unsheathing his swordstick, the rapier like blade held ready, She'la appears behind him holding a long, nasty looking knife.
"What the hell is that thing?"

She clumsily rolls out of bed, grabs her power axe, and charges into corridor as her armor comes online.

Velkas reels back, damage indicators blaring in her HUD, and takes a hack at its arm with her axe as plasma crackles along the edge. Meanwhile, an automated distress signal goes out to Kelat outside the city...

As he reached the top of the staircase, seeing that the thing was, at least partially, human, he jumped towards it from outside it´s viewing field, trying to get a hold of it´s head with his hand as he leaped over it, while it would likely make the thing tumble the main reason for this sort of attack was likely what he was currently emitting from the hand via the help of his suit, a shortranged dense ultrasonic torrent with extremely high frequency, likely to take the beast down or at least stun it should he make contact with the head...

"Well actually I must inquire you on a certain aspect, have you heard rumors of spottings that relinquish legends of the supernatural, or things that normally shouldn't be? It's the exact reason I find myself in this world, and any help is accepted."
The Ambassador appears to ignore the butler's unkind remarks.

He turns, and walks back up onto the wall, leaning on it.
"Gut goin thaen."

The axe cleaves through the spike, and severs it dropping to the floor. The creature does not appear to feel pain from the severed tentacular appendage, and lunges at Velkas, missing this time.
"The dark! Let it embrace yo-UUAAGH!"
It does, however, appear to feel Nurian's sonics, and thrashes it's limbs in dismay, falling to it's knees, Nurian is thrown off, and slams bodily into the wall, spots of light dancing in front of his eyes, then the thing lies still, it's back slowly rising and falling, apparently unconscious. Blak walks over to Nurian, holding out a hand.
"Are you all right Nurian? That was pretty nasty."
He looks over at Velkas.
"And you, everything good?"

Nurian grabs his hand and stands up, astoundingly he seems to have no visable injuries...
"Well, I could ofcourse have just sliced this thing in half or put some holes into it´s vital spots, however, a living specimen is much more insightful."
He turned around looking at the thing lying on the ground and then started doing some more thorough scans especially concentrating on the mutated matter and traces of psionic energies, as well as trying to find out how the remaining human part and the 'new' part interacted with each other...

Velkas steps back, kicking the beast idly with a foot. Then she notices the others, and spins the axe in her hand to a ready position.
"Who are you people?"

"Yes sir, I have heard rumors of unusual travelers, who pose a danger to respectable families, and I vowed not to let such people harm Lord Pierson or Lady Hermione, good day sir."
He glides off across the hall carpet, out of sight of the doorway.

It is hard to determine how the growths attach to the original body, as the exact nature of them is hard to determine, they appear to be organic, however they do not seem to require sustenance, and the individual cells that make up the growths have no real method of supply from the main body. There are no psionic traces emanating from the body, however it bears a large psionic resonance, suggesting that it has recently been or is presently being affected by a large psychic influence, the resonance seems to flare slightly when the beast is kicked by Velkas.

"Possibly we should be the ones asking you that, seeing as you seem to be using power Armour and a Plasma Melee weapon on a primitive planet, however, I will introduce myself. I am Supreme Commander Adolphus Blak of the Empyric Majesty of the Solaric Empire, and this:"
He gestures to the figure behind him clad in a nightdress.
"Is my Fiancee Madam She'la Lupus of the D'graf Imperial Federation, lastly, this is Nurian."
He gestures to Nurian.
"Now who, pray, are you?"

Thought The Ambassador, then he proceeded to absorb himself in the reading of the books he had displayed in front of him.

She shifts slightly into a lighter stance.
"Imperial Fleet Scout Mya Velkas. My partner and I were dispatched to find the source of the psychic pulse and determine if it posed a threat."
She focuses on Blak suddenly. "But our most recent intel indicated the Solaric Empire to be in a state of collapse. Therefore..." She moves forward with blinding speed, kicking She'la into a nearby wall, firing a volley of electro-shock rounds at Nurian, and dragging Blak into a headlock with her axe blade close enough to his throat he can feel the the heat radiating off of it.

"...You're all lying. Care to try it again and see what happens?"

She'la groans as Nurian helps her stand up.
"What on earth was that fo-"
"WHUT THAE HEALL US THUS?"
The enraged figure of the barman is standing on the stairs, holding his cudgel.
"WHUT DAE YAE THINK YAE ARE DAE- JAYPERS whut's yon beastie?"
He is staring down at the unconscious creature on the floor.

The small hatch opens and an eye is pressed to it.
"Haul on haul on I'sn aunly gaet one pair o lags, whut dae ye want?"

"It's 6 o' clock, best be getting up."

Some time later the Ambassador hears the sound of a kettle whistling somewhere, it is light now, or as light as it can be through the eternal rain and storm clouds. Shortly, the figure of Jasper appears in the doorway, clad in a dressing gown, and holding a cup and saucer.
"Morning old bean, I brought you a cup of tea, find anything interesting?"
The contents of the books could by no means be called interesting, though they were informative, however there was one line the Ambassador had discovered in "On The Theorem Of Mental Projection And It's Place In Modern Society", it appears that there is a possibility of "Cadaverous Animation", the sound of which brings to mind the moving corpse... The reference for this is a "Dr Franz Earhart" who appears to live in Gostck according to the book, possibly it would be worth looking in on him...

Blak's eyes go wild, and his face twists with anger, looking madder than the deformed creature they had just encountered, he speaks in a voice trembling with barely suppressed rage.
"How dare you... HOW DARE YOU TOUCH HER!"
His arms come up in a blur, latching onto the axe, the blade blackening his flesh... and showing the Gleam of metal beneath, he rips the axe from her grasp, tossing it to one side, and twisting, grabbing her arms, he flings her against, and through the wall...

α is awoken rudely as a figure crashes through the wall into her room, dust and splinters filling the air, and crashes to the floor, a screaming blur follows the figure, leaping on top of it.
"I'LL BLOODY KILL YOU!"
Blak hammers on Velkas's helm with his hands, stress warnings popping up on her HUD, then, seeing that this will not do, he uses one hand round her neckguard to pin her to the floor, raising the other, the "Skin" on his arm breaks slightly, a compartment opening, and the tip of a small laser extends...

...as the electro-shock rounds impacted into Nurian they burnt holes into his clothes but then the charge seemed to...dissipate across his body? Whatever just happened the round did not seem to affect him as Mya likely expected, the only thing that did happen in response to her attack was that his expression went now even colder, a faint red glow coming from below his right contact lense and his nasal wings slightly rising... "YOU, presumtuous little..."
He was visibly angered, an odd sight with someone like Nurian...
Seeing as Blak already trailed off with her into the Lupidirans room, he turned away towards the gates and scanned the area for her partner, while helping She'la back up...
