As a result, soon all three are thoroughly drenched, and this only increases when they reach the edge of the Jungle, heading upward onto one of the cooler plateaus, the stars are obscured by thick sheets of black cloud, and it is hard to see through the sheets of driving rain that billow over the landscape, occasionally streaks of lightening illuminate their surroundings, and in the distance now they can see the lights of the city, high on the plateau, burning brightly. The light is natural, that of fires, of torches, and of gas powered lamps, and it flickers through the rain like a beacon to the GSR Witchers, calling with the promise of a roof, a drink, and a warm fire...

The Ambassador finds himself under gathering clouds, standing in a cobbled alley between two stone walls, soon the clouds open, and water runs down the gutters of the streets and nearby houses, there is a thunderclap, and the city is illuminated by a flash of lightening, the houses around him are jetteyed, supported by thick hardwood beams, and their walls are either stone of wattle and daub, all in all, this feels like a Victorian village on Earth, thouh of course, the ambassador could not likely make this comparison. There are people nearby, and there is merriment, it seems that somewhere close is an inn, and the Ambassador can feel the warmth of it...

Then scanners indicate the appearance of another ship, one that has just exited FTL some distance away...
