Even below an hour of Imperial Invasion and below an hour since the survey ship was shattered, the Sovereignty responded - but it was unlike any response ever sent before. Normally, the Sovereignty would send a cruiser squadron, a patrol group, or any other small group of ships, however while the others were small... this was big in comparison to the other groups they shown up with.
Hundreds of ships exit a slipstream rift of many kilometers across. Upgraded Spear cruisers, larger battleships, and hundreds of other escorts warp in, flashing the colors of dark blue and orange to the rest of the system, with thousands of fighters swarming around them. This was no mere patrol group, no mere cruiser squadron, this had to be a fleet. What's more is that they were all upgraded with antimatter - one of the deadliest pieces of matter known - excepting the pieces of matter that are hurled at you at multiple times the speed of light.
All of the weapons point straight at the Imperial fleet. The guns having ten ton slugs hurled at 0.9c are back, upgraded, and more massive than before - and all of the ships are accelerating at the Imperial fleet, spewing out multiple petabytes of garbage on specific Imperial channels.
