(I decided to take my new faction out for a run before posting the page. I got the outline of the lore but I wanted to introduce it first. Don't worry, they're primitive savages.)
Something was wrong.
A week ago, the most highly advanced telescope of the M.I.S.E was pointed at a particular part of the sky, with the intent to look in detail at the stars in the region. However, they were stopped from doing this by what, at first, seemed like a technical glitch. The view was entirely black, something that they were sure could be fixed, but they tried and they couldn't fix it. One controller had an idea of pointing it at another part of the sky - they saw the stars. They decided to point it back at the original view, and the black had partially receded out of view. Something was there.
This has sent scientists all over the planet running wild with speculation. Massive project to isolate your solar system by aliens? Long lost planet in the outer edges of solar system comes back? However, the estimated movement path of the object helped point the arrow in the right direction. All the scientists came to a conclusion surprisingly quickly, and there was only one possible answer.
A ROGUE PLANET HAS ENTERED YOUR SOLAR SYSTEM.
It won't pass near any asteroids or planets, it won't really disrupt the planet's orbits but it's a good target for a science expedition!
