    Greetings, fellow cosmoteers. Welcome to The Building Academy!

    Here in The Academy, we believe that with enough dedication anyone can accomplish anything. With a good attitude, you will learn the art of ship-building in no time!

    Contrary to the guides and many improvement threads, we believe in a more practical approach. We use simple challenges, which gradually get harder. We base ourselves on your level, no challenge will be too hard for you! Even if a student keeps doing something wrong, we will point this out and quickly help this person back on the right track!

    In need of some lessons? Post one of your recent ships here so we get an idea of your skill level. This way we can help you more quickly.

    We also give our lessons in different languages! Look at our teachers to see if your native language is spoken by one of them.

    (Note: This Academy has the goal of improving people's building skills for combat oriented ships. In the future we might add designing and painting classes for better aesthetics.)

    Alpha As you have already seen one of my ships I wish to enter the teaching squad. It also might be a good idea to make a discord server for this/incorporate this into the Fort clan which has a similar purpose.

      I will have to look into this. Perhaps we could sent people over to the Fort Clan as well and vice versa. The Academy will remain mostly forum based however. Also, welcome to the team! May I ask if you speak another language apart from English? This way we can help more people who struggle with communication.

        Alpha Nope, I do not speak any other languages at the moment.

            Oneye No problem, I have the 'luck' to live in a country with multiple languages.

              Alpha As already mentioned before, I would like teaching too. I speak German and English.

                CursedPh4nt0m Looking at the advice you've given to people and ships you've posted I can do nothing else but accept you. Welcome to the team!

                  Alpha I would also like to join the teaching team, I would post a ship but in on phone rn, you can provably find some of my ships here or on discord

                    I wish to be on team,@Alpha (If there are subjects, I would want be like the heavy ship design class). Heres the ship.

                    BattleCruiserCommander Well, I just fought your ship with a 2 million cannon(/ion) wall and somehow happened to see your ship loosing all it's weapons. I'm not the one to decide, but I think Alpha won't be too happy about this neither.
                    The ship I tested yours against:

                      BattleCruiserCommander Oh... I actually don't know how Alpha decides on the teachers, could be he really uses built-in ships. I just tested it out of curiosity and felt like telling you the results. It was somewhat close tho, as my ship only had two ions and the missiles left.
                      The others (including myself) came here from the GiF ship submission post, that might be the reason I tested it against a (still over 2 million cheaper) ship with some firepower.

                        BattleCruiserCommander this is a competative ship class, so I would expect the teacher to be good enough to beat curtain competative ships

                            CursedPh4nt0m oh. I think I made that ship as a way to combat kiters. High amounts of pd an flak, ect.

                              BattleCruiserCommander It's not really competitive orientated. More like Galaxy in Flames (lite) orientated. Alpha had the idea after helping a new guy with getting his ships in the mod. I don't think anyone graduating here will have problems in mp tho.

                                CursedPh4nt0m oh, thats actually a good idea. Some people have such a hard time with the norm version of the mod.
