In the following week of the New Hegemony declaration of war, Thrawn decision to betray the Stellar Assembly was made even more widespread, causing unreast, as citizens would belive his decision is the will of the Godess Zafiira, others however, would see him as a traitor, and guilty of the worst of sins, deserving death. This growing powder keg led to a massive explosion. Earlier this morning, tensions led to a battle break out within the 18th task force, leading to 40.000 casualites, of unknown starter, the loss of 5 ships and the interruption of a planned campaing against the R-UPA. Shortly after, several planets and fleets were set ablaze as they took sides, and began to fight. The Zankaran Civil War has began.

In such a weakened state, the Zankaran Space is now easy target for "vultures", and its confirmed that all extragalactic resources have been pulled back, the 2nd fleet guarding Centerpoint Station is engaging itself, and massive debries can be detected. Delta Hyperion Station entered a trench warfare against itself, and the Stellar Forge production was ceased.

The news of the Civil War had spread to the R-UPA Central Command. In usual R-UPA fashion, Commander Sam, Commander Michael and Commander Anne held a small meeting to discuss this in one of the numerous meeting rooms.

Commander Michael: "So, let's begin with this piece of news. Out of no where, the ZIE exploded into revolution a few weeks after the attack on SG - 91AH. Reports are differing a little, but the revolution seems to have the upper hand in territory, fire power and man power. The question is, do we poke our noses in this mess or do we stay out and let it blow over?"

Commander Anne: "Hold on, you said they exploded into civil war? Are you suggesting they did a UPA?"

Commander Michael: "Yes. I am."

Commander Sam: "The question is, who's on our side?"

Commander Anne: "I can answer that. When Omega attacked the GLE convoy, they came to our prompt rescue and prolonged the events until Omega blew threw their lines. If anything, they hate Omega as much as we do."

Commander Michael: "But the same Admiral who was present in the convoy battle lead the ZIE fleet in the Forge battle. How can we be sure we're not going to be instantly back-stabbed if we turn up with a fleet of R-UPA ships?"

Commander Sam: "Wait, didn't we confirm that Omega thoroughly destroyed all of the ZIE ships?"

Commander Michael: "Not too sure about that one, Sam. A couple of fighters were reported to warp away and there's a possibility that one of them had the Admiral in question."

Commander Anne: "Let's get back to the issue at hand, shall we? We can talk about this so called Admiral later. Right now, we've got to decide what to do about the ZIE."

Commander Michael: "It's plain and simple. We find out what the revolution's goals are and what they're aspiring to do, and then decide what we should do."

Commander Sam: "Fair enough, we don't want to go blundering in without any information."

Commander Anne: "How's Forerunner going?"

Commander Michael: "Ready to move at our command. Perhaps we could..."

Commander Sam: "Yes, that is a brilliant idea. Get it prepped for mission and meet me on the Gamma Three Dominator Station in an hour."

DarkPearl Ah! Explains why I saw some ships that looked like they would be in service of the UNN, and the sheer amount of PDC fire.

(I think I also saw a brief Epstein Drive burn there too.)

Space flickers and thunders, as massive warships leave Quantum Hyperspace, its weapons powered, covered in black and purple symbols abd crypts, the revolutionaries have mustered under the colors of the holy godess, calling themselves the true Sons of Zafiira.

Their ships semd dropships into the station below them, invading it. Blitzing through system defences, the Guardian Class stations were either overrun by weapons fire or inside attacks. Now 7 planets stand to defend themselves without help. The second heart of the Empire, Delta Hyperion, was now in rebel control. Their ships send thounsends of strike ships to Pioneer, the main colony in the system. Whatever they are looking for, its on Pioneer. Imperial forces are mustering for a counter attack.

Far above the eliptic plane of Delta Hyperion reality shudders and splits, sapphire light boiling out of the rift and clearing to reveal a vast fleet of the Dawn. A single transmission goes out across the system.
"You are in violation of your oaths of fealty to Emperor Thrawn. Surrender and power down your ships or perish. This will be your only warning."

The "Sons" ships remains in orbit of Pioneer, and several dropships goes to the planet below. Several Frigattes and cruisers suddendely dissapear into hyperspace, leaving around 7 Leviathan battleships and 4 A'Arietes behind. The ships fly, getting behind one of the moons. As thats happening, Delta Hyperion's starbase open fire, several shots bounce off the AD ships shields.

The Dawn fleet splits up, one group with the long-range cruisers heading towards the moon the Sons are hiding behind, while the heavy hitters, led by the Prophets bear down on the main starbase, firing several salvos of MAC fire as they come.

The ships suddendely find tjemselves trapped amongst the Starbase, the Leviathans and now over 100 ships leaving hyperspace on all sides, trapping you fleet and focusing fire on the smaller ships.

The fighting on the surface is fierce. Sons are focusing their attacks at a massive military complex 20km outside the colonial capital. Whatever is inside the complex is of utmost importance to both sides.

The Prophets shrug off the fire, leading the charge straight into the teeth of the enemy guns. As they close, a hurricane of MAC rounds sheets outwards, tearing into the starbase defenses and shredding them apart.

The starbase burst in green flames of hell'ish blasts, and its consumed by the reactor's implosion. Then, your comms are filled with a message, coming from Gamma Vonolavis. A woman stands at the screen, azure-blue hair ending in her admiral badge. The trasmission, directed to both sides, has a incredible affect. The Sons ships power weapons down, and try and get distance from the AD.

Their mission successful and the civil war ended, the AD fleet disengages, pulling about and making for high orbit of one of the moons to regroup.

In the surface of pioneer, a shining red light lit up the skies above the capital. Zankaran rebels had been taken to the city after they surrender, mostly to be freed later, thanks to Draki's speech.
The light colored the skies. Energy was beyond measurements. Whatever it was, it was different then anything they ever saw.

Thrawn had woken up, and received an emergency communication from the governor of pioneer. The message was shot and brief: "Its Time". He knew what that meant. His calculations had been flawless, all he needed now was to send someone to go pick it up, so he could end what he started: he will destroy, once and for all The false godess, because theres only ONE Grand Zafiira, and the Ampoles will guide the Zankaran bact to her....

Admiral Draki's leaves hyperspace, and the fleet is met with shattered and broken remains of the starbase, several rebel ships are docked or in orbit of the planets. On Pioneer, evacuation had began.

While not all rebels have stopped the fighting, at least 10 systems still maintain a rebelious position, Draki's speech had a strong effect on the people of the empire.

...once arrived scans of the surrounding areas were done, trying to make out wether there were still any rebel forces in this system as well as evaluating the damages the battle caused...
The leading Titanic Leviathan headed the towards the red light, should it go uninterrupted it will halt a few kilometres away from it, in the meanwhile, a Transmission was sent through the system...

The Titanic's massive size cast a shadow on the planet surface. The light poin of origin seems to be a small crystal like object in the center of the city. Several evacuation ships leave the atmosphere, althrough, some never leave. The light seems to contain incredible levels of Tachyons, and probabily killed several thounsend inhabitants. The ship's shields seem strong enough to defend against the radiation.

Most rebel ships surrender, docking in with trade stations and other stations. Some flee.
