...while various border patrols were going after their daily duties and ambassador ships were visiting other factions to forge alliances, one of the border patrols started picking up rather strange signals somewhere along the borders...
While the sensors were capable of detecting the energy signatures which the signal originated from, all they got out of it was massive amounts of completely useless, deteriorated and distorted data all of which seemed to be artificial, whatever it was seemed to be heading somewhere past the borders, so if they wouldn´t investigate it, it will likely just disappear in the distance sooner or later...
