"ORDER!"
Silence
"Thank you.
Now as we all know,
we are here today to discuss the finalisation of the Galactic web project."
"Lord of the house, I request that attention be seen to the outer rim outpost Ceta three eight one seven.
We have many records of there being an established anti-GWP group within that will almost certainly attempt to intervene in these crucial closing moments of the program."
"yeah!", "Don't let them stop us!", "Do it!"
"ENOUGH!
And as for your request, it will be seen to.
Now may we contin-
C E T A - 3 8 1 7 __ OP Time: 00:00 __ date 15/01/2-AFT
A huge ship exits FTL around one kilometre from the station, its crew on high alert and its internal sirens blaring.
Sat in a room, dimly lit by a grim red emergency lighting, multiple Tau marines nodded in agreement at the act that was to follow their departure from the planning room.
The all too familiar sound of metal striking metal floods the corridor as they leave the room, before being deafened by the sound of even heavier footfalls.
They all move to the side, standing pressed against the cold metal walls that line the corridor as six huge beings wearing huge suits of metal armour push themselves past, barely taking notice of the relatively tiny Tau beside them.
From their sheer size, and the telltale runic language on their chest pieces, they are Lupidiran marines...
Each has their own reason for having joined, conquest, Exploration, Travels...
But all share the Lupidiran ability to be masters of combat, due to their advanced biology they are perfectly suited for the task of carrying a gun as big as a human, and equally as perfect for wearing a suit of armour nicknamed after an old world war two super-heavy tank...
Silently they walk, slowly to allow the Tau to keep up, towards the shuttle bays.
Here their size shows even more, compared to the unarmoured Tau crew stood around and moving ammunition and other things around the squad seem like behemoths.
Although, with no words spoken they step aboard the shuttle, each taking around four steps each stride up the boarding ramp while the Tau hurriedly run up behind them.
Considering their scale, sitting down is not really an option.
Instead, powerful magnetic boots activate below them, allowing for them to stay stood neatly in a row inside the middle of the shuttle's passenger hold.
Beside them the Tau sit down, although while they sit making jokes and discussing the plan, the Lupidirans simply stare off into the distance, communicating via their mind link, although even there they stay silent.
As the shuttle departs the ship the Tau all look out of the fake holographic windows of the shuttle, looking back at their ship, the TCS Endurance.
Although massive, the ship barely comes up as a escort class destroyer on the navy's registry.
Approaching the station at around 100m/s, the shuttle signals for docking permission and begins to touch down.
The ship's landing gear holds the ship up from the station's landing pad as it touches down and disengages its engines.
As the backup generator comes online and the secondary systems not powered by the engines take over the dim red emergency lighting makes a return, although thankfully for those that would care it merely lasts until the back of the ship opens up once again and light floods through.
The Lupidirans all step slowly down the ramp once again to stand guard as the Tau disembark.
Multiple crewmembers working nearby take one look over to them and drop what they are doing and quickly walk off back to their quarters.
"What has someone done to warrant them being sent to us..."
Is the only thing that anyone thinks before making that decision to run, although thankfully the Lupidirans are not here to shoo-
BANG!
Is the sound that fills the room as a modified AP rifle round is fired at one of the towering beasts.
BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG!
Is the response given as all six fire in mere moments at the Tau stood wondering why his shot glanced off what should be the thinnest part of their armour.
Behind them, still disembarking the shuttle the Tau marines all look rapidly in all directions looking for what even happened in those mere moments.
Leading the others into the station, the Lupidiran squad "escort" the Tau to the suspected location of the "Rebel" hideout.
Breaching the room by simply walking into the door and pushing it over, the Lupidiran swivels around to see nothing at all that is alive in the empty meeting room.
Instead guns lie strewn across the room, papers lying burning in the corner while a smashed holographic projector showing a semi-corrupted image of the old STE logo through shards of broken glass that make up its lens.
Realising whatever once occupied this room saw sense and did their job of burning those sensitive GWP documents for them, the Lupidiran turns around and exits the room.
Purely for the Tau unaware of the scene, the Lupidiran speaks a simple "Clear" before beginning to walk back to the shuttle with the others.
Whatever this "threat" was they where sent to stop has seemingly seen sense and turned tail and run...
Although much to the Lupidiran's dismay, the second shuttle present in the adjacent hangar is gone when they return, and the sound of cannon-fire marks the presumable destruction of it moments after undocking.
Well, what does one expect from disagreeing with the very word of Lyov himself?
Its around about the only thing that the huge soldier would be scared of...
