well that puts a damper on my plan because if we cant trap them in the system and they break out they would cause many empires to be destroyed

"The issue is that it shields one star system, not enough to actually protect against the Mak, unless you suggest we try trapping them inside a system, in which case they'd just consume all of the matter in the system and leave via Slipspace."

Bastida inclines her head and taps the holo as it processes the new data. Above them, the rings of the Forge begin to spin, plasma flaring along their length as Titanic forces are set in motion.

We will give you the blueprints on one condition. You will not be able to keep them, but you will be able to have limited access to the R-UPA Archives, Ship Section."

"As for clones, I will have to get authorisation from the entire High Command for that. We can supply our own, trained crew as the ships are rather hard to get used to if you're shoved into them out of no where."

LeftHandofGod Devan, who did not errupt when the scans were revealed, remains calm whilst his hands are illuminated in a strange white light, and a holographic image of the cosmoteer galaxy appears in the center of the room. It seems to show the factions, and then for alot of them, their military power, number of ships, etc.. Then Devan speaks once again.... "I think it is wise to oversee our forces before we decide on these matters" (btw, he knows these trough alliances and spying)

We have no ships left to send now, because they have to keep the outpost calm. And we do not have ship factories or cloning plants. It is in this vision that my Chancellor has asked the Empire for army and fleet. But currently, I am only a strategic help ...

Bastida glances over to him, and Hans sees a film of blue psionic energy wash over her eyes. Her face twists in a grimace as if she's fighting something, before her eyes clear for the briefest moments.
"Save us, my lord." She whispers. Then the flicker of blue returns and her face goes blank once more.

"vhat? Oh zhat.. zats just a piece of cigarette paper, I wanted to ask you if Ich could smoke anywhere here.. Actually Ich need to make a call, I'm just gonna go to the bathroom.. See ya."
With that he slendered out of the room to the toile, where he first of all checked the whole room..
"Keine Wanzen? Ah doch, da. Und da. Da auch, und da auch.. Das ist ein Klo, kommt schon... Da, das ist die letzte."
With that he took out his personal holopad and called a suppressed number...
"Ja, hier ist Hans.."
"Ich hab da was für dich. Das könnte was für dich sein."
"Ne, nix mit Tieren, dein anderes Spezialgebiet."
"Ja größer ist besser."
"Schnell. Ja, das passt."
With that he hung up.. and came back after rolling and smoking a cigarette.

Bastida glances over at the Overlords, and opens her mouth to speak...and then breaks down coughing, blood suddenly dripping from her nose and ears. Roiling blue light sluices over her, but she slams her head against the table and staggers backwards, wide-eyed and gasping.

"You fools! You walked right into its trap! Flee for your li-" She's cut off by another wave of blue energy and she collapses to the floor seizing. From the shadows beyond the hall, a rumbling voice makes itself known.

"SO IT WOULD APPEAR THAT YOU WEREN'T ENTIRELY PATHETIC AFTER ALL, BASTIDA. WHAT A SHAME YOU HAD TO GO AND PROVE IT RIGHT NOW, HOWEVER."

A smooth silver hedron floats into view, glowing as runes writhe across its surface in odd patterns...
