The away team leader, an ex millitary tank batallion commander during the TWE-RDM war, decides to do both.
They plan on the ground until night before commiting to their actions and leaving the landing zone.
Now under the cover of darkness, the ships drop their extra supplies and bug out.
The shuttles proceed to fly back up to orbit and rendousvouz with the orion.
Although now much safer, and able to split up, this puts them at a huge time disadvantage.
Facility Team
Advancing slowly towards the old base, in standard combat formation, although considerably closer together than usual in case of any nearby life being at all dangerous.
the units consists of 20 infantry, one IFV and three MBT's.
Certainly not enough to deal with any major forces, but more than enough to secure parts of the facility and act as overwatch for the research team aboard the IFV.
It will take quite some time for the team to reach the facility.
Anomaly Team
Along with their five passengers, The two quadrotors fly towards the anomaly, acting more like heavy aircraft than just helicopters, both dumbfire and guided rockets at the ready.
As they fly at low altitude the craft keep their gun turrets trained on the horizon, with their ship grade shields online, ready for any suprise air attack...
