maybe you could add some type of drone that ramms other ships?
they could be in some kind of "Drone Tank" and they swarm out and attack the enemie.
to make them not to overpowered they could need to be on the outside of your ship and they could also deal damage to your own ship, and they could need lllllooooooottttttsss of energy.
