I keep having mods crash the game, but I don't have a message about it pop up. Some mads also don't even install properly. Is something wrong, or is this just a version issue?
SpaceCommander Run in no-mods mode or delete all mods from the mods folder and run the game to check whether it's broken or not. Then install one mod after another and test run each. At least this way you know which one will work for you.
