Ultranova yes, so here is the plan for the future as it pertains to resources. You will have the mining worlds and you will have (alien race) rebellion worlds. Mining worlds give a small amount of all the different resource types per ship destruction and (alien race) rebellion worlds will give a large sum of one specific resource per ship destruction.
For example, destroying a mining ship in a mining world will give some electro, cobalt, adamite ect but destroy an enemy ship in a Boroko incursion world and you will a large amount of adamite.
As far as actually mining asteroids I haven't looked into it yet, it is something i want to do but really depends on how much time i have to code during the weeek...
BUT that will all change if i can figure out a way for enemies to invade/contest/reclaim planets you conquer forcing you to build fleets and bases in world's you conquer kinda like a 4k RTS which is really where i want this mod to go. If i can do that i will add asteroid fields in all the worlds and that will be the primary way to get resources. But that doesn't mean you won't get any for destroying enemy ships.
