Well just tried and lost first fight in highest difficulty. second was a win beacuse of my luck... defenitly hard mod just as it was supposed to be.
Edit: I will stay with normal as highest is just ridicoulus (It is supposed to be a compliment)
I mean the highest is kinda unfair given how you can spawn in and be instantly mauled over by a tier 9.
That_Angry_Man Pretty sure the highest difficulty is made that hard on purpose, you need to be a god in building to pass that difficulty, heh
The_Bloodnaught It's the cheap way of making a difficult mod. And even then you only get 50k budget to beat a 2.5-5 mil ship. That's a bit too little.
Yup that totally unfair as I can say now. And It lagged so hard that I had to play at 1/4 speed.
Actually I think tier 10 can spawn right at the start. So that's 5-7.5 mil vs a 50k at max ship

i somehow managed to pass the first system once at the highest difficult… too bad i didnt safe the ship that did so >.>
That_Angry_Man i actually was unaware of ships tier 9 and higher spawning in the starting worlds, was there a specific difficulty setting that it does it on?
Northerner It mostly does it on the impossible difficulty. Like everytime I've tried it just spawns tier 9-10 ships there.

Boiled_Cabbage A few things: the fighters only need 1 reactor, not 3. The cannon modules only need 1 reactor, not 2. And the thruster modules only need 1 reactor for the 6 huge thrusters and the engine room, they won't always be powered, and the reactor will almost always be running out of power but that doesn't matter too much compared to how much it will cut the price. And one more, I have never used ammo storage, and have yet to give a use for it. So it would probably be better to move the ammo factories to where the storages are.

the rails are bigger than ma ship!
