Hi! Just found out about Cosmoteer recently after watching a lets play.
Thanks for making this mod! As a Star Wars fan, this is perfect!
Btw... I noticed that the included raider class is not really what I expected... So I rebuild the raider the way I see it.
It's scale is based off the raider in the mod, but I made it a just little larger. It may not be in scale compared to the other ships.
I tired to make it as close to the actual raider class.
RAIDER REQUIRES THE STAR WARS COSMOS DIVIDED MOD TO WORK.
Please note that this version uses 6 x imperial turbolasers, while the original(in-universe) had 6 x Dual heavy laser cannons, which are around the size of the medium turbolaser turrets. (You can downscale them if you want. The position and location of the turrets are meant to make it flexible.
Points to note:
- Tested in multiple combat situations. It can handle a swarm (5 to 20) of smaller rebel craft and fighers, but the heavier ships will defeat it. (Run from heavier ships)
- There are still some power issues. I tired to fix them, but the ship can run dry if its under heavy fire from multiple directions and is firing back. (heavy ship level)
- The hull is designed to have an primary and secondary (inner) hull area. To maximize survivability.
- Power cores are spread out as much as possible. It is still possible for enemies to "core" the raider if they get pass the inner armor layers.
- Beds! I tried... but given the limited scale, I have to place bed all along the inner hull.
- Amount of shields may be a little unrealistic for a ship this size.
- Wasn't able to include missiles, which are part of the original design.
- I managed to include the notch at the side. The turbolaser turret there can be replaced with thrusters for better maneuverability.
