One of the Doomsday-class artillery platforms is pivoted on it's access with the help of six Zipper-Tugships it sets it's Sunflare device to high yield and activates it as soon as the reinforcements enter the system, slagging anything under a cruiser and melting cruisers beyond recognition, there is however a high price for this, as the overstressed containment field on the ship fails and the platform novas, wiping out over 20% of Battlegroup One, the prong-class platforms engulfed in the fiery inferno along with several cruisers, the commander of the Doomsday-class platform is posthumously court martialled for such a heartless act as eliminating an incoming releif force, then posthumously re-promoted for his selfless act of bravery. Three Nicodemus-Class cruisers frag several inbound fighters and setup a stasis field around an injured Budapest-class whilst it's crew repair, and several Fleryg fighters too slow to manouvre squash themselves like flies on the windscreen of a car. A signal transmits from one of the Nicodemus-Class cruisers to the Fleryg admiral's ship, Commander Blak is seen through the interference sitting in his captain's chair

The Fleryg pilots understand Blak's intentions too late try to activate the slipspace drives to evade the onrushing cruiser, but to no avail, the Nose of the "indomitable" is obliterated in a fusillade of fire but the gargantuan ship speeds on carried by it's own massive inertia, the impact when it comes is like watching a slowly crumpling paper model, the two ships locked in a fatal embrace.
