Previous release notes RC1.

  • Bugs related to weapons are gone now. The reason was an undocumented change to OnDeath which no longer accepted impulse from explosion which pretty much affected all ammo based weaponry.
  • The expanding sphere generator has been redesigned and works as desired, except you can't use it for ramming anymore. Also it seems a bug is preventing homing by splashed child shots.
  • The computer buffs are not supported by the game yet so they are just a demo.
  • Some 0.14.1RC1 logic bug is preventing the cargo_transporter_room from working. The transporter_room for the crew is not supported and is only for decoration.
  • The torpedo bays now can be switched to store other ammos: photon, quantum, tricobalt, Abh EPC. Abh EPC isn't in use yet. I would have to rework the Abh railguns. Also the game will wipe out the storage when switching to a different ammo type. The game will also clear the storage when you save the game.
  • The bulk_replicator can also be switched to produce the various ammo above. It has the same problems about storages.
  • The torpedo_launchers can also be switched to fire different torpedoes. It has the same problems about storages.
  • Some of the above require different Techlevel cockpit control parts and can be build separately.

General WARNING It appears part UI-Button settings saved with ship files do not work properly with Cosmoteer 0.14.0-0.14.1 and this will lead it to crash when loading the ship file. Until you are finished building your ship and saved it do not set any part's UI-Button settings. If you made the mistake you can load the ship file in blueprint mode.

    Railguns seem to be broken, it will let me add them in blueprint mode but the moment I click buy the game crashes.

    The crash report is titled:
    System.InvalidOperationException: No component named 'BatteryStorageUse' in part 'Lafiel.med_railgun_turret2_KCP'.

    I can post the full report if you need me to.

    Also there's a problem with the docking reload station

    System.InvalidOperationException: No component named 'PartCrew' in part 'Lafiel.docking_reload_station02'.

      w09scottj If your version isn't from today then please download again. I've fixed it already. It's a minor mistake due to deconstructing the old system and replacing it with the new multi-ammo use.

        The railgun is now working but the docking reload station is still broken.

          w09scottj How's it broken? It works fine for me. The only problem I see is the current way how crew supplies it they tend to leave to their station too often. It has to be powered and be manned for docking to work, then you can switch on the various types of supplies. The automated version is broken, though.
          Edit: I'm going to add the not-abandon-when-on-fire and see if that helps.

                Lafiel So boss. I have the RC2 and it crashed my game. So i have disable all the mods that i have and using upgrader for your mod. I got it working and starting to test with other mod to see on which one is not compatitable with.

                  AmakawaHaruto Just download the Abh 0.5.3RC3. It's safer than using the upgrader. The upgrader will make your ships build with it incompatible with the mod because it generates a random ID for effects.

                    @Lafiel Just did a research with other mods using RC2 upgrader and found that only 3 are not compatible with it.

                        Lafiel It fine. Just a little payback for making us Mod.

                          Due to a number of bugs in the base game and a bunch of parts involved one way or another the final mod version 0.5.3 will be made compatible with Cosmoteer 0.14.2 (or later). There will be no support for 0.14.0 or 0.14.1 afterwards.
                          Anyhow, I'll be releasing another (half step) RC version soonish. It will be prone to crashes with new parts under certain conditions with Cosmoteer 0.14.1.
