Oneye I said i'd return to create a lore for the Etharians. And i'm real sorry bout' the necropost.
The Beginning
Long ago, hundreds of thousands of years ago, in a galaxy far away from the Milky Way and the Cosmoteer Galaxy, the Etharians, a nomadic, hunter-gatherer race, stuck on their own planet, began recording their history with the first writing, primitive, but it's writing. The first words were written, and then the most surprising thing happened - blue lines and moving orange dots began racing across the sky. The Etharians were wondering what happened, when all of a sudden, the heavens fell. Orange lights, different ones, began to appear, and they became larger... and larger... until it stopped, and then a massive object fell from the sky, and then more... They were ships, or at least small pieces, although they didn't know it at the time. They worshipped them... That was the first story. A story about visitors from beyond the stars.
The Age of Discovery
It was not until one person, tens of thousands of years later, found out what it was. His name has been lost to time, but his discoveries have not. What he done made the Etharians the star-faring people instead of the planet-dwelling people. He went inside... He looked around, at the bridge. It's hard to believe that it still had a supply of deuterium for it's backup reactors, and charge in it's batteries... It powered up, and then he accessed the partially corrupted database... It told of great and noble men that spread their wings and took to the skies, helping the others and protecting them. The good stuff, the technology was lost, but... it still had a database of some inventions like writing, and steel. What he found sparked a new age of scientific discovery, and gave the Etharians hope that they would meet these men, no matter how unlikely. This is why they went to space - to meet the men from up above. Their Renaissance, their Industrial Revolution... They even swiftly moved past the lightspeed barrier and invented Hyperspace Travel.
