in the middle of the jump, all ships immediately exited out of hyperspace into real space. A fleet from the UEF is revealed with a interdictor, they have been quiet some time been there (about 1 hour).

This is Captain Fred from the UEF, we heard a distress signal and some combat signatures. So, we brought a interdictor to stop all escaping hostiles.

SnowDoggo Well ur kinda too late? In this universe... FTL are called Jumps for a reason :/ Its not like in star wars where u travel whit super high speed... in this universe u litteraly jump... dissapear and appear in another place whitout traveling the distance...

Most of your fleet escapes with relatively minor damage; several ships had already been destroyed, the Jana and Galactica severely crippled.
(This isn't anything new, just a summary)

HIS fleet left, doesnt mean your fleet can't interact with the aftermath/continue the fight if you choose to do so, my fleet is still active and undamaged save for some fighters and bombers...
Maybe check wreckage for survivors etc

This is Captain Fred from the UEF, sorry for the trouble. We'll shut down our interdictor field right away. We knew that the distress signal was from the UC, so we came as fast as we can to intercept the craft. Sorry for the inconvenients

The fleet regroups and begins recovering fighters to the carrier, not bothering to persue through FTL, the FTL disruptor field has now been recalibrated and is active once more

You already left, the FTL blocker got disabled (my way of lettign you leave) and its only back up now youve left so it doesnt effect you anymore
You were also fighting 1/25th of a fleet from one of the most powerful factions out there that isnt OTT spam

Alfraks Despite the wall already beeing deactivated, you can't blow up a particle wall anyway. It's basically some kind of force field, attracting/projecting (depends on the kind) particles at some spot. The one used by @Undated_Abyss might have a density between 1 and 20 paricles per m² meaning your bomb would pass it without exploding. (Even if it somehow exploded, it would have rather strengened the the wall, due to it's particles getting caught in the force field.) Altho the particle wall wouldn't work with kinds of hyperspeed travel based on switching the dimension or dematerialization to allow for lightspeed/shorten the distance in our dimension (and avoid getting hit).

I'd also point out the field was down when he fired the nukes anyway, so there was nothing for them to hit

Pretty accurate, though its probably slightly more dense at 15 - 45 particles per m² (though very small particles)
