Easy Mod Creator?

I'm not sure if this should be in Mod Development or not, and I know that making a cosmoteer mod isn't THAT hard, but I do think it would be WONDERFUL if someone made something like MCreator (which is for minecraft) but for Cosmoteer. It would be pretty simple, and it would definitely help me.

Dragma2005 It is very easy creating a mod, and if one really wants to create a mod, that person will eventually get it, if not, that person didnt want it that bad...

Its just not worth it creating that, its already almost as easy as it gets, and what if it updates and mods are not competible? Should there also be an automatic mod updater? No! Just put a bit effort in coding!!! Cant make it too easy for you guys....

Dragma2005 GunsForGuns GunsForGuns Namek I have thought about this before, but I seriously don’t want it to exist. Modding should be an art form for those dedicated to hours of work making mods, not some lightweight 5 seconds thing. If this were a reality, there would be an influx of poorly made, low quality mods made by those who have no respect for modding. If such a program were made, I only hope it is reserved to modders whom have already proven their expertiece for making mods by hand (in a matter of words)

Modding basics is very easy, especially with all the improved error messages thanks to a certain modder constantly bugging Walt in the past. 😃 I'm using notepad (not notepad++) 99% of the time. But if you challenge the game it's a different story.
But yeah this tool would result in a lot of just simple off-the-mill mods like thousands before it. Such a mod cannot compare in efficiency or in out-of-the-box functionality achieved and tweaked by hand.
The only tool I asked last year was for a viewer to ease graphics work. Now we got the effects editor. That's good enough.

I'm all for more mods, though I don't use them myself. I do agree with the issue JBox brought up though. Making mods too easy to make would be a flood that no amount of people could build a boat and/or umbrella big enough to survive.
If you want an example of this just look at Steam. As the barrier to entry for making games lowered the platform got swarmed by low effort/quality games. Hell it's still waterlogged with them.
