DO get other people to test your mod and take a look at your sprites. There may be something in it that missed.
jbox1 Do you speak of experience?... Haha!
Namek I speak for someone elses experiences.
jbox1 Oehhh! Who! Who is being hated by a youtuber? xD
Namek jbox1 left the game
jbox1 wait, there was a game going on behind my back? 😐
Walt jbox1 Do check if someone made a similar mod before. Nobody wants to be falsely accused. (Unless you do. Then I'm judging you.) Do use proper spelling and grammar.
jbox1 Do NOT make a part a wedge. If the wedge is of an pre-existing shape( e.g. armor wedges) , make the wedge the part. Had some experiences with making a wedge out of a shield in the past...oh the horrors...
jbox1 To all modders using Windows Notepad, I pity you.
heh.
HEH.
I used to use Windows Notepad 😛
Ultranova D:
jbox1 I have good ole' Notepad++ now
Ultranova How is it better? I still use plain old notepad
jbox1 DO use version control software (like GitHub) so you can easily manage your versions and so you don't have to reupload and change download links for every update.
Also, add Sublime Text to the text editor part
jbox1 DO plan ahead, the fiirst few parts in my mod were just things I randomly came up with, making it quite messy, using stuff like trello can really help with this.
jbox1 DO add language packs Because some people have to use Google Translate to use the forums!
FireShredder24 In all due respect, most modders simply don't have the time to add the extra localisation files :/
Ofc, if you are a native speaker in a language, by all means, feel free to add them. Otherwise, it's a LOT of work.
Lafiel I can provide plenty of examples of this. ahem 😬
mystique rubs temples
You try coding an entire part (with buffs) in notepad from stratch. I'll wait.
Ultranova I've done it a few times now
Ultranova It's not hard
