So you know how there are ship painters/builders for hire in the ship design section? I was wondering if that same thing could happen in this section, as in someone building custom (public) weapons for non-modders. I know you guys are thinking, "LOL, this boi is a noob, do you know how hard modding is?", and yes I do, I am taking a coding class. Just think though, what impact could this have on Cosmoteer?

Darkhold I can help people with Sprites, so you only need to code the mod, which isnt that hard from what I looked into :3

Darkhold Well, Im kinda against the idea of making sprites and code for a person, since then, that one person hadnt done sh*t, and had a mod, wich basicly isnt his, but claims most of the credits... When creating a mod, don’t go asking for help non-stop if it is about spriting and coding, just try yourself and improve!!!

Darkhold I have actually been subcontracted (asked) to make mods before. I haven’t completed any of them XD.

Namek What if it’s for a major mod, or you had the assets lying around? I mean, if I was asked to make, say, the Star Wars starfighter reactors automatically feed weapons, I’d definitely take the offer. But I would get it if they were some noob asking you to make 6 weapons for their mod and they haven’t even been on the forums for a day.

jbox1 Yeah, for big major mods, perhaps, but for a random person who won't code or sprite, and make others make the whole mod, that is then just not right...

    Namek
wel...there are ppl who would give credit to the actual makers

thebuilder But if they “own” the mod, it still doesn’t feel right to own somebody elses work.

jbox1 that is correct, but what if said mod is never released by the one you make it for or the faction you make it for

        thebuilder that’s ok.

          jbox1 okay
