a large oval shadow starts to move over the land, the Beamer-Class Subcapital Ship lifts off

The captain paused.

"Let's take this inside."

some weaker thruster sound start to become audible, another 10 ships enter FTL simoultaniously

For a single second you hear an FTL spinning up, then the ping sound plays and the large oval shadow starts to dissapear

Just in case hostilities break out, a frigate enters orbit.

RedAndCosmoteer well, we have been sending exploritary forces to neighbouring planets, although most are in uninhabitable zones.

so, not to be rude or anything, but, well, we would like to get back to working on some other ships in the near future, how long are you planning to stay on this planet?

Catelyn "We are only here to say hello for first contact, exchange basic information then go exploring. We'll leave in thirty minutes then forward our findings to HIGHCOM followed by a diplomatic team to go to this planet."

The captain explained the process in good detail.
