Jcamparado Exception of type 'System.OutOfMemoryException' was thrown.
Looks like you're running out of RAM. Try closing other programs. It's also possible that you have your page file turned off, or you're running out of hard drive space for the page file.
Walt May I ask how do i check if my page file turned off?
Jcamparado Search for sysdm.cpl or run it using Win + R.
Go to Advanced, Performance Settings, Advanced, and click the 'change button' next to virtual memory.
The checkbox is checked so im assuming it's turned on. Any other tips?
Jcamparado Can you post a screenshot of the virtual memory page?
Jcamparado That looks fine. I have no idea why you'd be running out of RAM unless you have a ton of other programs running.
Walt All i got running is Chrome and in the background im running steam
Jcamparado You got lots of services running. Go to Task-Manager and kill e.g. jusched etc. https://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/what-is-juschedexe-and-why-is-it-running/
jusched
Lafiel Do i have to end the tasks of the services which aren't using alot of memory?
Jcamparado You can safely end those mentioned on the webpage I linked. For everything else check their properties first and google the information on the service. Then decide for yourself if it's important or not. All services listed as background processes aren't that essential but they could be vital for some programs so treat with care. I usually end all updaters, databases like OneDrive. Don't touch the services running as Windows-processes. If windows services are wacky you can try this: right-click on the Windows-Explorer process and chose restart. This will restart windows services without having to restart the computer. This does not restart the background services you've ended.
Windows-Explorer
restart
Lafiel Ive killed most of the services and it kinda improved from just not opening to the loading screen appearing but crashing afterwards
Well, you got just enough basic RAM so something must be using a lot unless you get a different error now. Run it without any mod. If you had mods activated before click on Cosmoteer (no mod) menu (under apps etc.) or simply move everything from the user/documents/my games/cosmoteer/Mods folder to somewhere else.
Cosmoteer (no mod)
user/documents/my games/cosmoteer/Mods
Lafiel That's the first thing i tried, but nothing happened. Im getting the same error as before which is the "Exception of type 'System.OutOfMemoryException' was thrown." error. .
Jcamparado I dunno what else you can do. Looks like you are out of luck. You could try installing older versions. This will limit your access to older mods. https://cosmoteer.net/history.html just click on the green version titles.
Lafiel Welp thanks for all the effort guys it's good to see a community this helpful 😃
